Not the kind of performance I expected from the team after the previous uninspiring game against Chelsea. I would like to have seen a bit more urgency and tempo from the players today. The distribution in the final third of the pitch needs to improve significantly in the second half in order for us to create more clear-cut chances. Ferdinand has played very well in the first half both defensively and by making a crucial contribution for Rooney's goal.

I would have Carrick over RvP as our player of the year now after seeing RvP the last month, he's been crap to be honest, we all love him but that's the truth.
Very boring match so far, hopefully RVP can nick a couple of goals in the second half and get back in to goal scoring form. Think we going to need him back to his best to win the double.

I think this is the limit to Young's abilities right now. The best I've seen him play was in the 8-2 against the gooners. Its really all gone downhill from that point on. He is solid and dependable, but rarely produces any goals/assists for us anymore. Im just waiting for him to actually take on a fullback and beat him. That would be nice for a change.
I think Kagawa could do wonders out there. We have many people running into space (hell, even Rio looks like Messi now), but there's no one to make that last genius pass.
