This ref pisses me off, maybe I'm still bitter Varane is playing when he shouldn't be and am taking my frustration on the previous ref out on this one. Welbeck for me has been excellent, need to keep giving him something realistic to chase
 
Good performance from the lads in the 1st half. Atmosphere in the ground sounds incredible.
 
So far the team selection has been brilliant, looks like some of the embarrassing people on here might be shown up really. We now have a fresh Rooney and a fresh Kagawa, Hernandez and Young to all choose from to bring on against a tiring Madrid backline that plays high up and can clearly be got at.
 
Half way there lads, still on a knife edge but you look like you have a goal in you as much as they do, in fact probably more.

Relatively pleased so far, but atm we're open to one big sucker punch. Would love a goal sooner rather then later.
 
Varane is an absolutely brilliant centre-half..his timing of challenge and positioning is unbelievable at times. What is he, 19?
 
I kind of got the feeling Madrid were conserving energy in that half tbh. Didn't seem to be working very hard, either pressing or in attack.

Not expecting them to fade like they did at the Bernabau.

Christ that has calmed me down, most are playing well which is obviously good. And he may have had his injuries and not be the same player he was but I get horrible thoughts seeing Kaka against us.
 
Great half, think Nani has been great. With Rooney, Kagawa and Hernandez on the bench the second half should be interesting
 
Giggs played very well, Welbeck played well but his usual donkey self in the box. Carrick and Clev playing well. Please don't be 0-0 with 10 minutes to go.
 
We're playing an iffy game. We must finish off whatever chance we get. I must say Van Persie has been so so. Welbeck, Giggs have been sensational..
 
Slightly boring game, United has been good.

Some added pressure from Real will be expected on the second half.
 
Welbeck's basically cancelled out Alonso and is posed a threat going forward at the same time. I hope he's able to last the 90.
 
Well guess we will see if there is a fired up Rooney entering the pitch hoping to prove he should start.
 
I have been very impressed with Danny Welbeck - he's suddenly mature and has become a big game player. With a bit of luck, he would have gotten the first goal!

Nani has been magnificent - I want to see him work with Rafa on the right flank. I believe that's where our goal would come from!
 
We've played some good football at times, will be a master stroke having Rooney on the bench. Not many other teams would be able to boast bringing a player of his quality on against Real Madrid as a sub, hopefully he'll be fired up when he does get on and show his influence in the final third of the match.

Just nervous of them scoring late on here, we could really do with a goal. Good solid first half though.
 
Good first half. Everyone playing well and apart from the disallowed goal we've kept Madrid quiet. Glad to see Di Maria go off, didn't feel comfortable at all having him running around Evra when the latter is on a yellow. I think we'll get a goal in the second half. Need to make sure that goal will be enough though.

I'm absolutely fecking shitting it though. I should get the emergency number ready for the second half - not sure I'll survive another 45+ minutes of this.
