Manchester United vs Real Madrid

Course it's not a red card you useless ITV bellends. it's not even debatable.

Ha so now we've had a reality check. What a cnut.

Reality check? Did you fecks not watch the game you utter utter bellends. I need to turn ITV off, it's just making me angry but I want to see Fergie's interview.

I really hope it doesn't get forgotten how good we were up to the sending off. We got it spot on today. Alonso was nullified completely until the red card and we looked much more likely to score than them. It doesn't matter if we conceeded possession etc, they weren't threatening with it. That's how Real have beaten Barca over the years, same with us against Arsenal etc. Just so sad that when we tactically outplayed them, not having to rely on all out defence/luck i.e. Chelsea, but pure getting the right game plan and carrying it out, that we lost in this way.

The feck does Roy Keane know about anything relating to football aside from playing? He's been an absolutely miserable failure at everything he's done involving the game since he left United (which coincidentally, he fecked up as well). Bitter old man.

Gutted, we were in control when Nani was the victim of one of the most ridiculous red cards I've seen. Who knows how it might have played out but the ref made sure we were going to have an uphill struggle and even then we created a couple of decent openings.

Questions can be asked about that ten minute spell immediately after the red but right now I can't get rid of the nasty taste of this bogus ref call.

Ultimately in my book it's a yellow all day long, clearly Nani's only interested in taking the ball down. Ref shat it.

Overall so upset but also hugely proud of the performance before and after the card, the amazing fans, fergies team selection and response to the card. Him and giggs Geeing up the crowd made my heart swell and on the whole United were magnificent.

Feel so sorry for Nani as i'm sure he's absolutely desolate. Only slight annoyance is that we couldn't take several very good chances after the card and do something special. Costa has a great game the cnut.

Agree with this

I hope someone at itv rolls the VT of Keane ending Haalands career. Just to remind him that he is a cnut too.

That incident was what brought me to Redcafe....Keane was a twat then and still is today.

Man Utd nearly did everything perfectly and it was ruined by a stupid referee.

Impressed with Welbeck and especially Vidic.

Ha so now we've had a reality check. What a cnut.

No mention of that fact that if Nani had have stayed on, Modric wouldn't have been on and if he was, he wouldn't have got the space he did. Real maximised their one man advantage and fair play to them but that sending off totally ruined the game and ensured Real won. You can only hold out for so long against a team of that calibre when you're a man down.

Think we played very well to hold off real as long as we did, yet another appalling decision from a ref...still can't believe how he would come to that decision with absolutely no intent at all...the ref knew what he was doing and the game was decided at that moment...keane can get to feck and all!!

Arbeloa, or however you spell the cnut's name, had a similar tackle on Evra on the first half and done it on purpose! He gets a yellow....

It's fecking outrageous how these pack of usual pricks are employed to ref a massive game like this! Sickens my arse!!

Retired referee Dermot Gallagher on BBC Radio 5 live: "[The decision was] harsh to say the least but in fairness the Real player did Nani no favours whatsoever. At worst Nani catches the underside of his arm, certainly not the ribs as the guy has gone down and shown.

"I can't reiterate enough that he [Nani] is watching the ball over his shoulder, there was no malice in him. At worst it was a yellow for dangerous play, but if I was refereeing that game I cannot se what stretch of the imagination where I would have sent him off for that."

feck you, Keane.

For all the pre-game jitters about the line up, when it came down to what was done on the pitch we have not one complaint about any one of our players.

Enough said.

We know Keane's being irrational...let's leave it.He's getting all the time and space he wants

Fair play to RM they took advantage of the situation presented to them, and their keeper played an excellent game.

WTF do you mean fair play? It isn't fair play when you're gifted an opportunity to win when you're clearly second best

Well it was the ref who sent Nani off, all either club could do at that point was play on. Am I pissed off about the call, yes. Was it wrong? Yes. Do I think we would be moving on without that call? yes.

But Real Madrid did what we would have done in the situation, and in truth have done on a few occassion, took advantage of the break they were given. And in all honesty Lopez was fantastic for them today. Without him, even with 10 men we might have won.

I’m very disappointed with how the match turned out in the end. The utterly disgraceful decision by the referee to wrongly send off Nani changed the game. We were in control until that point successfully containing the threat of Ronaldo and nullifying Alonso's passing range with Welbeck's decisive pressing. Real wouldn't have found the space to create chances so easily if we were not one man down. Anyway, great effort from the lads which was regrettably undone by a referee's shocking mistake.

This is the Bayern game from 3 or so years back all over. Winning and comfortable, then a red card completely sods us up.

Bloody hell

Diving, play-acting and time wasting, all qualities which conspire against the game of football, triumphed today. The better team lost, thanks to horrifying refereeing.

Something must be done to prevent, or at least minimize, future injustices of this nature.

That describes 100% how I saw the season.

Giving a red for something like this is just plain stupid.

Got to agree, they were respectful all the way through the tie.

On balance in that tie we were second best in Munich which ultimately did us.The Rafael second yellow was a consequence of a stupid first down to inexperience, so the two do not really comapre favourably as were good value in Madrid and were the better team here tonight.

I have absolutely no hate directed towards Real or Mourinho, as a matter of fact Mourinho earned even more respect tonight.
However I would like to see the refferee get run over by a truck before finishing it off with a shotgun
