Do you not think it's perfectly reasonable to take a defender off who has been booked, and warned afterwards? Especially in a game where the opponents are having more joy out wide than in the middle?
There's no other reason to take off one of our better players so early to put someone on out of position.

I think the seeming inevitability that Young would come on for Kagawa created a slight overreaction.
