Good result! Hopefully Moyes will see what Kagawa can bring to the table, he really is one of our most technically gifted players.

Deserved win. Still not convincing but we'll take it.

Convincing for me. Moyes got it right tonight and we should of scored plenty. Can't take any blame for the players themselves not putting away the chances they're creating. We should of been out of sight here.

should have smashed them tonight, some of the footy was pretty excellent.

Ridiculous options for Moyes on Saturday now.

VP, Rooney, Kagawa, Janujaz, Valencia, how can you leave any of them out?

Phew, I'll take those three points, style wasn't shit either. It looks that solution to lack of energy in our midfield is 40th year old pensioner from Cardiff

Kagawa on a huge plus (should've burried his chance though), Valencia was very good first half, then he started doing those 'things' again.

We need to finish games off though. Oh, and our singing section was doing fantastic job.

Oh, and Shakthar got battered by Leverkusen, good that they've been stopped but on the other hand, it looks that Leverkusen won't be the same Leverkusen we've played at home.

Great play by Wayne for the goal. Excellent.

Best performance this season by a long long distance. Rooney and Kagawa looked really good there, linking up nicely. Jones and Evans were absolutely solid at the back, far greater than any pairing I've seen all season. Valencia was an absolute pace machine tonight, thought he was brilliant. Young wasn't shit, was a fresh change!

Great game overall, apart from a little period at the middle where we looked nervy. I doubted Giggs but he was fantastic today. Kagawa was  worthy, Rooney brilliant, Hernandez did very well when he was on too I thought. Strange that you can't even pick out one player today that had a poor game really. Rafael was great as always but got subbed off because of the stupidity of the ref handing out so many yellows in the first half. Scoreline really flattered Sociedad, should have been closer to 4-0 rather then 1-0.

If Kagawa doesn't start on saturday after that performance though... no excuses for Moyes this time. He really has to start. Hopefully behind Rooney with Nani and Januzaj on the flanks.
Hope we can manage to keep this up in the league though.

Really pleased with that.

More goals would have been nice but it was a top notch performance all round the pitch today.

We played some great football today on several occasions. Kagawa, Chic, Giggs, Rooney had good combination and interlinked between each other well.

Pleased with the performance, except the finishing, although you could say bad luck also played a part. But Rooney and Kagawa messed up a few chances. I think the players did well though. Carrick and Giggs did very well, so did the defence. Infact, I can't really say anyone had a bad game.

Did Stelling just say Shaktar the team most people expected to be the 2nd best team in the group maybe even the best team in the group? Wtf?

Dick head Shreeves. Rooney said he was thankful to Ferguson and move on

Jesus, watching that on RTE. All the former Liverpool knick-knacks all bleating on. It's like they all got together before the season started and said, "Well, if United have a shaky start and Liverpool have anything above mediocre, we should all go on about how shit United are and how Liverpool are shaping up for world domination soon...."

Houghton & Whelan making the points as if no-one in the world has thought of them. Whelan's hammering into Carrick and Giggs. You have Aldo and others in the paper rabbitting on about Liverpool in the papers. It sickens my hole.

Now Dunphy shiting on about Fergie's "legacy" being a club £500m in debt. How has that anything to do with Fergie?

Watching this is like the crap Dunphy heralding the end of the United era about 5/6 years ago, saying Rooney wasn't being serviced and supported. I hope ta feck Moyes has a brilliant season and shoves it up their arses.

Irish punditry is staggeringly shite.

Easy, leave VP out. The other four will work.

I remember we conceded a goal vs Newcastle and Fergie was complaining about it; the whole panel decided he was onside.

It's offside in my opinion, but it's never going to be given. It reminds me of the Evans OG against Newcastle, except in that one Ba was actually pushing Evans so it was even more blatant.
Was he off when Rooney shoots ? I remember him being a yard but I am pissed now.

Souness and Carragher claiming the goal was a bit debatable due to Hernadez being off side. Does scouse bitterness have no end ?

It's offside for me, in the spirit of the game at least. He doesn't make a complete arse of it if Hernandez isn't inches away from him - of course he's interfering.
