Those opening 20 minutes were possibly the most beautiful piece of play I have ever seen. That half was possibly the most dominating performance I've seen from our boys that I can remember. feck off everyone who said we would struggle.

there hasnt been a better first half then this one when it comes total domination...because roma is playing great but where playing ultra total football...its just stunning..if this was our team from last year roma would be up 1-0 and cruising...but this team has that little bit tenacity to grab the big games by the horn

Unbelievable performance from Ryan Giggs this half, the guy has this nack in Europe of pulling out some of the most astonishing performances you will see and this is definitely one of them tonight. I believe he has set up three goals tonight and Roma just have had no answers to his movement off the ball and what he has done with the ball.
Italian teams in recent years haven't handled pace and aggression from English clubs in England and this is a prime example right here. They have totally frozen here.

Brilliant Carrick finish, good composure from Smudger (delighted for him tonight), good Rooney goal hopefully back on form after this goal and first leg goal and good skill from Ronaldo to create space for his shot.
Overall a terrific performance, Giggs has been MOM for me and Fletcher has looked excellent aswell.
