The second I saw the line-up I knew this was a 0-0. We have a worse team than that which played Spurs, but no way were Sunderland going to be as open at the back as Spurs were at times.

It is as simple as that, sameway Carrick turning a malfunctioning team into one which worked, it was not all him alone but with him in everything was balanced.
Didn't see any vision by Carrick in the last two games though and besides if he's gonna make a forward pass do you think tevez will go through and score. We don't have Larsson Saha up front so I'd stick with someone who'd change the game like Anderson in the middle.
I bet that'd he'd be down in the warm up.

We would have Saha up front if we brought him on, Anderson will get more time out wide especially given that Evra will enable him to drift about almost in a free role, Carrick is very creative and can spot a pass something we need at the moment especially seen as it doesn't look like we can score with a cross.
