Manchester United vs. Sunderland

Ohh Ohhhbi Ohh Ohhhvi?

Yes was thinking that he played well against City, Just like to see Welbeck getting game time.

Ideally I want to see Nani getting back in the line up but I'm starting to think that is never going to happen.

Perhaps due to his injury.

What is his injury though? the last time he played was quite a while ago and he was only suppose to be out for 10 days and heard nothing since. Other than he is supposedly out the door in January which I hope isn't true but something doesn't seem right with it.

If were playing Liverpool, and denied them the title, I imagine there'd be cheering. In fact, there'd definitely be cheering. We cheer when City drop points these days.

Same would apply to Leeds or City, but Sunderland? Who the feck are Sunderland?

The question is 'who the feck are man Utd?'. The answer: the most hated club in the country? That's why it was to bet expected from Sunderland fans.

That said, I think had they seem City lose the league in such a manner at their ground instead, I think they would rub it in their noses too. All part of the banter really, I will forever want Sunderland to do poorly but it's harmless and adds a nice little edge to the fixture.

A few weeks ago it was announced 4 or 5 weeks, which would lead it right to the start of January. Nothing suspicious about that at all... "Injured" until the transfer window opens. Hope I'm wrong though.

Ah good to know, remember been told 10 days and not seen anything about him since regarding injury.

Just do the job and collect the points. We can't lower ourselves to get "revenge" on Sunderland. Bigger scalps lie ahead of us and all focus have to be on the quality of play that bags treys, nothing else.

It's a great motivational tool to be able to use. I'm sure Fergie will mention it.

Whether or not it will actually have any effect on the players is a different matter....

They are like Stoke. They seem to spit bile about us while we really don't give a feck who they are.

If Sunderland fans spent as much time supporting their own club as they did United's rivals then maybe they would be more than a two bob pile of shite club living in The Mags shadow.

DDG

Rafael
Vidic
Smalling
Evra

Valencia
Carrick
Cleverly
Young

Rooney
RVP

Subs: Lindergaard, Jones, Kagawa (if fit), Fletcher, Giggs, Welbeck, Cheech

Im hoping for a convincing win here

If Johnson is on his game, evra is going to have a tough time.

3 points. All that matters. No point beating City to drop points against bottom feeders like this shite. Beat them and move on to more important games.

If Johnson is on his game, evra is going to have a tough time.

I was thinking that also, but if we put the pressure on them he will be to far down the field defending. Hope Evra stay on the level he has come up to the last months.

Lindegaard

Smalling
Jones
Vidic
Buttner

Valencia
Scholes
Fletcher
Young

Welbeck
Hernandez

Time of the season when squad rotation is key

Having a laugh? Exactly the type of team that will see us overrun. No thanks.

We don't pay Rooney and RVP 200+K per week to rest them on a Saturday. fecking smash these !!!!

Will SAF go back to putting Lindegaard between the posts?

I dont think so. The keepers have been playing as many games as possible in a row until one of them had an accident (tooth-problem, baby..). I reckon De Gea will stay in the team until he plays himself out of it, or suffers an injury.

Not as much as us though. Smaller clubs love to get one up on us any way they can. There's much more history with us than City could ever imagine. They've won the title and act like they've ruled the roost for the past decade!!

We'll continue to be the most hated if we keep collecting the trophies.

True, but like you suggested, it's a consequence of our glorious history so we'll take it.

I still hate West Ham fans too!

Sunderland are similar to Stoke - they seem to think they've some sort of rivalry with us. I can understand the likes of Liverpool, City, Leeds, Arsenal and Chelsea hating us. We've had rivalries with Liverpool & Leeds for years, City obviously being the other team from Manchester, and the fact they've come into success in recent years. Arsenal back in the 90's-early 00's were classics and with Chelsea becoming a force through Roman's billions.

But who are Sunderland to us? They come to OT and sing YAWN, they did the Poznan when word came through that City had won the title. I understand banter, I love a good bit of banter. But the manner in which they celebrated that on the final day was nothing short of pathetic. They couldn't give a damn that their own team lost, as long as we didn't win the league.

Nothing would give me greater pleasure than seeing us absolutely thump them tomorrow. I don't mean by 3-4 goals. I mean a thumping by 7-8 goals.

I remember going to check up on their forum after that horrific day (not the 1-6 rapefest) and their forum was really split, almost 50-50.

Some people were acting like assholes saying how we "deserve to lose it like this", and other shit banter, but at the same time there were also a lot of people saying how they're dissapointed/ashamed, and had no idea why they'd do this.

haha, yeah, because 4-0 or 5-1 would just be too merciful :D

Hehe

I love this post.

Meh, I know what you mean. I know a few Mackems that are cracking. They were rather embarrassed at he 'small time mentality' as they called it.

Anyway feck em. After his weekend we go back to forgetting who they are he rest of the season while they battle relegation. We'll send you a postcard from Europe lads.

I can only dream... "Us winning the title, and QPR and Sunderland both relegated this season"...

I know it won't happen though, because it's too good to be true.. :(

Hope we smash them tomorrow, but the 3 points are the priority..

Come on UNITED!!!!!!!!!!

Have a feeling we'll see some major rotation for this game with the Christmas pile up coming. Expecting all of Jones, Smalling, Scholes, Fletcher, Welbeck and Hernandez to start. Maybe even Buttner and Giggs too.

I'd be surprised if we did that. With City playing first, the pressure will be put on us to make sure we keep the 6 point gap (assuming City will beat Newcastle).

There's a time and place for major rotations - doing it now would be risky. I agree with a few tweaks here and there, but playing a basically new eleven from beating City would be nuts. Keep the momentum going with the team we have, and if we're trouncing Sunderland - take off 3 star guys and then rest SOME of the star guys that didn't sub in the next game, while the 3 that went off starts.
