Manchester United vs. Swansea City

I think he is staying for one more year mate.

Do you think he will last a whole season? That was why he retired. Maybe he will retire and come back in January again. Or they need to sign someone for midfield so they can manage Schole's playing time better.

No we criticize for throwing away a 8 point lead with 6 games to go. We criticize for not getting a shot on target against Wigan, for wasting a 4-2 lead against Everton with less than 10 minutes to go, and for playing like complete and utter bitches against City knowing that a result was paramount.

Money doesn't matter in any of those cases.

nail on the head

Too much criticism in here - at the end of the day, City have 'invested' around a billion pounds in order win a MASSIVE...£16m in League-winning prize money; and we're going to criticise SAF & United for not being able to compete with that? Pfft...

I don't think that's the problem here. The problem is the mad tactical decisions and lack of purchases in the correct areas this year.

Most importantly, we were 8 points clear, it's not like we were struggling to actually compete with them, we just inexpicably capitulated with some truly atrocious performances, summed up at City where Fergie played an utterly RIDICULOUS line-up.

Jones really does take so much away from our attack. Gives away silly free kicks, isn't comfortable running with it and doesn't cross well. Oh well. Young has started very well, prob should have had a pen there.

It should be 3-0 after barely 30 minutes which would have kept us on track for the necessary 10-0 after 90 minutes.

Love the reaction from the commentator, expecting to be able to say he cheated, and it's just a definite penalty and he goes silent

It's been one of the strange things on the cafe this season, that somehow the answer to our central midfield problem is Tom Cleverley and nothing else. It's like when Arsenal blamed not winning the league in 2008 on Eduardos injury.

The optimism turned to mythology while I was making tea one day in August.

I agree completely. If not for City and their billion pound version of the New York Cosmos we'd be crushing the rest of the league and there'd be nothing but talk of greatness.

It's a joke. And regardless of talk of 'bitterness', if they win countless titles, their victories will have no merit at all. It's as if we're all supposed to ignore their unprecedented spending (and this attitude is encouraged by Sky & others, who view City as a godsend: big-news, headline-grabbing transfers etc etc) & just conclude that SAF is 'past it' and that 'United are in decline'. It's a joke played on us, our rivals and football in general.

I have no idea where Chicho was running but him running across Rooney seem to have obstructed Rooney's path rather than providing Rooney with an option.
