The F.A Cup Third Round
Sunday 5th January, 16:30 UK
Old Trafford, Manchester.
Quick Stat - United haven't won the F.A. Cup in a decade come the final this May.

Win. Please?

Hopefully our cup form should see us through...

Sounds like we might have to do it without Rooney and Van Persie, though.

Opening day of the season requiem please

I don't even know where to start... Just hope we win this and get some momentum going again. But the way I see it now, we'll do OK this month but not beat Chelsea, we'll be as far off from the top four as we are for a while now yet. I don't think an F.A Cup run, even though we haven't won it for ages, will take any sting out. We need to be in the Champions League so I'd rather focus on the league and Champions League...

we all know this is a difficult year, so with each bad result, sit back and be glad there's another game so soon.

FA Cup home game against a struggling 2nd season Swansea. Gets things going again.

De gea
Fabio Evans Vidic buttner
Young Carrick fletcher kagawa
Welbeck Hernandez

Evra needs to be rested, and would like to see Fabio at right back actually. Who knows it might work. Sad that apart from evra missing and resting januzaj, this is probably our strongest lineup taking into account injuries  I just hope we win.

Start of a grueling period for you guys, but its a cup so I can see you nicking this 2-0.

That stronghold called Old Trafford can defend itself even from Manchester United. Time to change that.

Hard to understand why we look more like a team when it's cup time. Change of priorities ?

Massive day for Moyes. Could take so much pressure off but could also pile so much more on.

We can't go too weak with this one but having the League Cup semi just two days later makes things difficult for Moyes as we are stretched thin to begin with.

De Gea

Smalling
Rio
Evans
Buttner

Fletcher
Anderson
Carrick

Welbeck
Hernadez
Young

We must play the best team in this match........first of all to win and to avoid a replay in the week before the Chelsea game

I don't want to say a "B-Team" in Sunderland because we have a 2nd leg at Old Trafford

But like said no game during a week would be very good for us (espcially before the Chelsea game)

There are also some rumours that the team will fly to Dubai for 5 days (after the Swansea league game) if we win against Swansea in this FA-Cup game

----------- Lindegaard ----------
Smalling -- Rio -- Evans -- Buttner
-------- Carrick -- Fletcher ------
--- Young -- Kagawa -- Zaha ----
----------- Wellbeck -------------

Should be ideal for Kagawa. Zaha, Young, Kagawa & Wellbeck are all felxible and can interchange giving a more fluid attack.

Would like to see something like:

de Gea
Rafael Ferdinand Evans Fábio
Fletcher Carrick Cleverley
Rooney Kagawa
Welbeck
--
Lindegaard; Smalling; Anderson, Giggs, Valencia, Januzaj; Hernandez

However, I expect Buttner and Young to be involved.

De Gea
Rafael--Smalling--Evans--Fabio
Fletcher--Carrick
Valencia--Januzaj--Kagawa
Welbeck

subs: Lindegaard, Ferdinand, Buttner, Cleverley, Zaha, Giggs, Hernandez

Lindegaard
Fabio - Ferdinand - Evans - Buttner
Fletcher - Cleverley
Januzaj - Kagawa - Zaha
Welbeck

The league is a write off so look forward to all our cup games now. Hopefully we can progress far and maintain an interest.

----------De Gea-----------
Rafael--Evans--Vidic--Evra
-------Carrick-Fletcher----
Zaha------Kagawa---Welbeck
------------Rooney------------

I'd love to see something like this.
