Wigan Athletic duo Antonio Valencia and Denny Landzaat have handed boss Chris Hutchings a boost by returning to full-time training and they could both be available to face Manchester United on Saturday.

Valencia has been sidelined for over a month with a knee problem, while Landzaat has missed the last three matches after fracturing his eye socket in a clash of heads with Newcastle United's James Milner.

Valencia told the Latics' official website: "Every player will tell you injury is what we fear and I've been really frustrated this time, because I felt I started the season really well after a full pre-season under my belt.

"But football is always about looking forward and now all I can do is give everything in training and try and convince the manager to pick me on Saturday.

"To play at Old Trafford would be a wonderful way to make my comeback."

Meanwhile, Landzaat said of his injury: "I had double vision after the initial clash of heads and it was pretty painful.

"But it's all behind me now, everything is healed and I'm doing everything I can to get back in the team."

I can see a 2-0 win for us. Saha on bench as well as nani with giggs starting and tevez and rooney up front and rest of team from roma game. Wigan will pull a reading against us and in 60th minute all our forwards will on the pitch (saha for giggs, same as birmingham).
