Manchester United vs. Tottenham Hotspur

I did suggest earlier in this thread that the match wasn't going to be the cruising win for Man. Utd that some we saying, and so it's proving so far.

Spurs deserve to be ahead IMO, but I'm sure you'll come back into it 2nd half, but we've a good defensive record in recent games - just 4 conceded in 9 games - so it's not going to be easy for you to win this now.

Lmmfao...

I kept the faith, well in lads :D

I still see that as a penalty - do my eyes need testing??

What a game, my heart cannot take much more of this. Always making it hard for ourselves. I was pissed off at half time, relised more games left to play, then united just went on a goal rampage! Wow, amazing! Roll on the other side of North London! Come on United!

Carrick moved the ball to the side the keeper was millimeters from scraping the ball but no definite contact with the ball was to be seen. he subsequently caught carrick. penalty.

Itll be interesting what motd think later!
Theyll debate the pen for 5 mins then as a final comment they'll go ''yeah but fair play to united for turning the game around by the way''

I love him..

The penalty (which very clearly should not have been given, as almost all impartial observers agree) changed the game and its momentum. Up until that point Spurs were the better side and deserved their lead.

But even so, the collapse of Spurs afterwards was nothing short of embarrassing.

Bloody hell. Great match wasn't it?

I'm glad to say it - this team has a heart. It still has the desire to turn things upside down and we are best when we are up against the wall aren't we.

That boy Rooney is a football legend, shifted on the wing and even thought not in his favorite position he was fecking brilliant. Pure class, ran the show. Berbatov, prove the doubters wrong as he was involved in the game and showed some flashes of brilliance himself.

What about Ronaldo? I don't think that one can question his passion for the game and for the team after today, Villa and Porto.

Apart from Evra, who had a shocker and Rio, who was shaky, every other player was top notch.

Pity Tevez didn't get a goal.

I agree with you on the penalty, it helped us rise our game and play better.
That changed the whole game, in the end we fought back and scored 5 so it wasnt like we didnt deserve the win.

John Gregory is caught up in traffic, thank god.

Haha, when you posted this before the match I thought to myself, really is the guy that bad?

Then when he arrived I realized exactly why you posted that. Most anoyying commentator I've heard. Went on and on about how he thought Tevez would be a good fit for Liverpool next season... then he was just shattered over the penalty. Very biased against us. He was a real twat.

I didn't watch was it any good?

1st half was shit.

2nd half was immense. Penalty given that changed the game. I think it WAS a penalty, but we were lucky the ref saw it our way a different angle and the ref would have been right up there with the commentators no doubt. After that the pieces fell into place.

What a game. My first time at OT and such a result. The atmosphere in the 2nd half was immense as was our spirit.
