Saturday 30th October 2010
Barclays Premier League
Old Trafford
KO: 1730 BST

2-2 draw. :(

I hope not, though

Hernandez will score.

--------------------- Eddie -----------------------
Rafael ----- Twitter ------ Nemanja -------- Pat
Luis ------- Darren ------- Paul ---------- Gabby
------------ Javier -------- Dimi ------------------

Team should be...

GK: VDS

RB: Rafael
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra

RM: Nani
CM: Fletcher
CM: Scholes
LM: Park

CF: Berbatov
CF: Hernandez

Subs: PIG, Brown, Smalling, Carrick, Gibson, Obertan, Macheda

I'll go 3-1 Nani and Hernandez scoring for us

..............................Van Der Sar

.Rafael..........Ferdinand............Vidic...........Evra

...Fletcher.........Carrick............Scholes...........

.............................................................Nani
.....................................Berbatov

...........................Hernandez

Thats what id go with, given with the injuries to Giggs/Valencia and Rooney and the form or lack of from the likes of Park there's no stand out option on the left hand side right now and given we'll be up against one of the most inform wide players in Bale i wouldn't be surprised if we used a Fletcher on the right to double up on Bale at all times, I dont see us letting Bale have a free run at be it Rafael or O'Shea because that would be suicide frankly, plus we did use this exact system at White hart lane last season, Fletcher on the right, Scholes and Anderson central and Giggs wide started that day, id be in favour of a similar shaped midfield on Saturday.

Just hope and pray neither O'Shea or Neville start this one, against either Lennon or Bale they'd get ripped a new anus so badly wed have surgeons required on the pitch, its most certainly not a game for either of those, the pace of Rafael and Evra will be needed.

The perfect lineup for us
Except, Berba to score as he usually does play well and score against his former team

van der Sar

Rafael
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra

Nani
Fletcher
Scholes
Park

Berbatov
Hernandez

SUBS: Kuszczak, O'Shea, Smalling, Anderson, Carrick, Gibson, Obertan.

I could see something like:

Van der Sar
O'Shea
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra
Park
Fletcher
Scholes
Carrick
Nani
Berbatov

I'd put Nani on the right, one Bale is poor defensively and two Assou-Ekotto (highly underrated but a key player) is as dangerous going forward, I'd put O'Shea at rightback simply because he'd have more experience with the two on ones should Nani get caught out, but I'd imagine Rafael could probably do a frantic job if called upon. Two deep right sided players just draws Assou-Ekotto to go forward and to be fair, Fletcher would hardly hit Spurs on the counterattack that way.

Disagree strongly about O'Shea, Bale running at big John!? christ just the thought of that gives me nightmares, O'Sheas at his weakest when up against pacey quick footed wingers, and in Bales form that would be utter rape in all honesty.

I think because of the threat spurs will carry down that left flank especially Fergie will either use Fletcher or Park to start with to double up on Bale.

I believe Bale played poorly against Big John when Wales played the Republic of Ireland, Bale played poorly against Big John on the last couple of times he's faced United. It's never manifested.

The Gareth Bale of today is a vastly different animal completely, hes advanced tenfold from the player he was back then that's so plain to see its beyond question id have thought, this is a player who tore Maicon apart a week ago in the san siro, do i need to explain to you how vastly superior a player Maicon is to John O'Shea?

If your genuinely comfortable with the idea of Bale verses O'Shea then thats up to you, thankfully im convinced the manager wont even give us that problem as im sure Rafael will start.

Funny how an attacking wingback like Maicon conceeds three goals, yet a defensive one like Emmerson Boyce keeps a cleansheet? ;)

Rafael will get sent off in 15 minutes v Bale

Again, he's also played Bale before and no sending off.

No problem with young Rafael against Bale either. It's Assou-Ekkoto that may cause problems.

Well didnt we have the similiar conundrum when We played Bayern Last month.. No body had a clue how to stop Ribery.. until SAF put Rafael in there... who tore Ribery a new one..
SO i believe we will have Nani and Rafael at that right hand side this weekend..

Yeah right. You were all over losers against us last year until Al had a brain fart. The year before we outplayed you again but didn't take our chances. Year before that we caned you.

Come off it Storey your blabbering now, you've been as routine a 3 points for us at OT as anyone these last few years, not to mention our destructions of you in cup competitions chucked in for good measure.

Your record against us has been awful for years now, we regularly turn you over.

Erm, while you're reading into things didn't Ferguson play Gary Neville in the first leg, when a fully fit Rafael da Silva was avaliable?

Do feck off, the last time Spurs won at OT 'Noah was completing his NVQ in woodwork' to quote a phrase.

Your record at Old trafford is shit peter, has been for years, your record against us full stop in any competition has been crap for ages, you've become a regular 3 points more so than spurs in recent seasons, not to mention the emirates has become our second home of late.

I'm imagining Allforone's rants should John O'Shea play any part in this game.

Should be a high scoring game, anyone's guess who'll win though. I'll go for 3-3.

Well last year until Almunia & Diaby had a spell of insanity they were probably the better side, with us launching long balls to Rooney who was isolated.

You're talking rubbish. Spurs 10-year-record at OT is 10 straight losses. They haven't won in 20 years.

1-0. Vidic to play a blinder. Berbatov to get the goal.
