I don't understand the criticism of Anderson. Yeah he's misplaced about 3 passes, but he's also got stuck in on numerous occasions and won the ball back for us.
We started well but were pretty poor in the last 10-15 mins. Lacking a bit of creativity in the middle of the park and Welbeck looks a bit lost.

apart from cleverly effort, we have not created anything at all, not good.
Got to say that Welbeck is offering us next to nothing upfront. It might be worth swapping him out for Carrick or Giggs to get more of a foothold in midfield and construct a few more attacks. Then bring on Hernandez for the last 20-30 minutes to see if we can nick a goal.

Hernandez or Berbatov needs to replace Welbeck. Cleverley and Anderson needs to push up. No sustained pressure by United yet. Overall the tempo is a bit low from both teams.

Nani's crosses have looked like Beck's at times, we've looked very poor and very good at times. It's messing with my head.
It's all become a bit frustrating so far. We started brightly but the opening goal is looking hard to come by. Too much wasteful passing around their penalty area for my liking. That's why we've struggled to break them down and create real chances.
Our defence and de Gea have been class though. But central midfield and the Welbeck in particular need to step their game up. We need more from Nani and Young in terms of penetration as well.

I wish Cleverly will express himself more than just looking for the safest passes and they are usually retarding passes. He is young and learning, but he needs fire to be light under him.
Think we're showing a little naivity in the middle, expect more of Anderson and Cleverley against Kranjcar and Livermorekidneyandbacon but I imagine they'll pick up second half after a half time with Fergie.

I actually don't think Cleverley and Anderson have been at fault. Whenever we get the ball to our attackers (Nani, Rooney, Welbeck and Young), we're going into hyper mode and rushing through our attacks in a hurry.
At the same time I think the players are generally looking in terms of their touch and form. Just need to pace our attacks better and show a bit more patience.
Poor first half, a bit too much reliance on youth needs some of the more experienced players in there and we will nick this.

i always thought berba would suit our game better at home than welbeck..hope we can start the second half as well as we did in the first half.
Not creating enough chances...our first 5 mins were good..but since then we seem devoid of ideas once we reach the 18 yard box..very similar to our away performances last year.

Yes we've looked neat and tidy at times but we haven't created anything apart from a shot from outside the box. Not a great half.

We're playing like how Arsenal usually plays, loads of movement and passing but nothing concrete.
Agree. He has to defend much more than normal next Cleverley and seems to be making the adjustment well.

We're pressing quite low, and as a result struggling to get any meaningful possession high enough up on the pitch. The quick combination game isn't quite as effective around the half-way line, and right now we're not doing well enough in possession down there to create much.

i think he's been better than any of our other attackers, bar Rooney. His crossing has been brilliant but nobody wants to get on the end of them.
Yep, Spurs have had more shots on target, our attack has been asleep.
Backline has been totally solid though.
One positive was Jones out there, looks a beast that lad, imagine him in a few years - incredible potential.
