Manchester United vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Seeing as DDG played during the week I am guessing we are going to end up swapping this keepers around again today

Would like to see

DDG

Rafael Evans Rio Evra

Carrick Anderson
Nani Rooney Kagawa
RVP

I think Ando deserves to start after his display in midweek and although Clev probably deserves a start as well there's just not space for him. Nani has been off his game bu if he's in contention for the game I think he should play, having that wide option is always good and he's only going to get through this with games. Plus I'd really like to see how he can work in a 3 behind RVP with Rooney and Kagawa.

I can see Scholes starting but I don't think he'll suit this game. With Valencia being out we're already going to be narrower than normal and I think Scholes is at his best in a wide game. If Nani doesn't play then the game for us will be even more narrow.

FIFA 13 tells me this will end 4-2 to us. RVP to score but to miss a fair few chances, Rooney to score his first goal of the season. Spurs first goal to come from a goalkeeping blunder.

physioroom has rafael as being out with a knock....has this been confirmed or pure speculation?

Smalling reportedly due back on 7th October - great stuff

Given Spurs' horrendous record against us at OT this should be three points, I'd say 3-1.

Maybe field Ando along Scholes and Carrick to try and avoid Dembele tearing our midfield apart throughout the match. After the recent rumors about Nani, and his horrible display against 'pool it'll be interesting to see if he's starting or even included on the bench today.

They both played v Wigan from the start. In our last home league game.

I'd forgotten that. Disappoints me, it's one thing to justify it away to Liverpool (although I didn't agree with that either) but for a home game they shouldn't start both together IMHO. Much rather we take advantage of being at home and give cleverley and Anderson a game.

Think spurs' midfield would give us a very hard time if we start giggs and scholes today.

So, Lindegaard again.

Anders Lindegaard has just walked onto the OT pitch, inspecting the area and the centre circle.

Did the same at Anfield and started.

I want Dave!

In fairness to Lindegaard, he's done a good job so far this season.

Wouldn't surprise me if after us getting over our horrendous record at Anfield Spurs do likewise at OT today :(

No surprise. Seems to be our #1 at the minute.

Another ten more minutes probably.

Happy to see Lindegaard out there there if that is the case.

Why is a goalkeeper inspecting the centre circle anyway ?

Maybe he's just finished that and is leaving the pitch.

Or maybe he likes to relax, listen to music and walk.

There is a slight difference between not winning since 2007 .- and not winning since 1989 .... but yeah, statistics don't mean that much

Lindegaard, Rafael, Evra, Ferdinand, Evans, Scholes, Nani, Giggs, Carrick, Kagawa, van Persie. Rooney on bench

Scholes and Giggs in the same team... :(
