Played well enough...but somehow conspired to screw things up in front of goal.
well thought we created several chances but once valencia got thier goal they have done much better limiting our chances. Im not so sure we are going to create nearly as many chances the second half.
Agreed, a very promising performance so far. He has a real chance of making a cm position his because of the form/age of his competitors.

We've lacked so much sharpness out there. If we had our head on we wouldn't be losing this game. I can't stress enough how important it is for us to win and make sure we stay on top. We dare not finish second in the group and face the risk of Barca and Real.
The players need to sharpen up in the second half and take control. It's all a bit too subdued from us and even the crowd seem lacklustre.

Fergie's going on about it being vital to top the group, and then he plays the 3rd choice keeper. It just sends a bad message to the players that this match does not matter so much. Been very sloppy all the way though.
