I am watching with a stupid grin on my face. Very positive football we are seeing in every part of the field. We sold the magician to Real this summer, but I can see magic pop up all over the place tonight.
I can imagine that he was a doubt before the game, but Fergie wanted to use him so he played him from start so he didn't have to make two substitutions involving Owen (in case he brings on Owen, he then gets injured, and has to replace Owen again).
Carrick looks a bit better, he's still to find his range with those medium length balls that used to come naturally

Thought it has been good ,Berbatov has been excellent and done some cracking little touchs and flicks , but for me Carrick has been outstanding more like the Carrick we know and love.
The "goal" should of stood it was not offside.

Did you see that touch from Evra as well? The one where he flicked the ball over a Wolfsburg player with his first touch from a long ball from the Wolfsburg defence (keeper?)

I'm often one of Anderson's biggest critics but I think he's had an ok game. Sloppy passing at times but can't fault his work-rate and his movement is good (usually a weakness)

Phil made the point that Valencia simply isn't used to have space, and he will learn that at United. That and his confidence.

played well enough since Berba came on. Just can't seem to finish things off. Carrick looks a little more like his old self. Anderson been wasteful again but has had some good moments as well. Valenica has been decent.
Not clinical enough. An air of casualness to our game so far. Nice buildups but frustrating to see the lack of an end product.
