Manchester United vs. West Bromwich Albion

I can see Van Persie and Chich being thrown on for a rescue act.

I don't know, I think it's a very capable team. If anything Welbeck is at his best leading the line rather than being the industrious second striker.

Hernandez coming off the bench is a great weapon anyway, especially against legs that are going to be extremely tired after a second away game on soft ground in 3 days.

Manchester United line-up:

De Gea - Smalling, Vidic, Evans, Evra - Valencia, Carrick, Cleverley, Young - Kagawa, Welbeck.

Bench: Lindegaard, Ferdinand, Giggs, Hernandez, van Persie, Scholes, Buttner.

Sweet!

I'd love to see Valencia to shaking off some cobwebs.

My only disappointment is not seeing Powell in the bench.

Rescue ? From WBA ? C'mon, man... We ain't that dogdy.

They'll get some rest and remain fresh for January, were few harder fixtures waiting.

Doesn't matter who we're up against these days, we're leaking goals. And even though I like Welbeck, he's not the most deadly of finishers. Combine that with the fact Kagawa is coming back from a long injury layoff, and that West Brom have two good strikers in Long and Odemwingie, then I think this game could be just as big a clusterfeck as the Newcastle one.

Dang, was hoping to see Nani on the bench at least. Oh well.

Good team, though on paper it looks a bit short of goals, but we are at home so I'm sure they'll come.

Valencia better have a good game, because if I have to look at another 90 minutes of 270 degree pivots I'll go mental.

Seems like it's one of those teams that looks better on paper than in real life. Hoping for a good game from Kagawa but it will be tough for him after being out for so long.

Doesn't matter who were playing against were scoring goals, I think I will slit my wrists

feck sakes, I've got RVP and Hernandez in my fantasy football team.

Sexy line up though. Strong bench too.

good thing I missed the deadline this morning, I was goona bring in them both aswell, or atleast RvP.

Good to see Kags play in the hole.

That ship has sailed, my friend.

Sad, but it's time to face facts.

There are no facts, the only fact we have is that he's due back from injury on the 1st, then we'll know, until then, nobody knows anything.

When I posted that I had it in my head that todays game was the return date for some reason.

I clearly see your point but I hope You're wrong. I really do, because we can't get through every game with a late cracker in 90th minute. Nobody can play like that, through all 38 fixtures.

SAF is gonna have to stabilize things, sooner or later.

Do you realize physiofeckingroom.com for 95% will have this one wrong?

Fergie hasn't even mentioned he's getting ready to train, but okay, I forgot he's not actually injured.

I know he's injured, what are you talking about?

Or are you just being your usual gimpish self?

He's not gone, but some people forget that injuries at Manchester United always take longer than first expected...

Does anyone have any foreign streams (non sopcast)? I can't be arsed with Ian Darke or McManaman today. PM would be appreciated.

What? He was due back from injury today.

Wait, no I'm wrong, it's the Wigan match he's due back.

I'm just laughing at you mentioning your boy really.

Fergie originally said he'd only be out for 10 days or something, so you're right there.

I don't know, you're a fanboi, it's sometimes hard to remember what's your opinion on his injury, because some of Nani-lovers think he's fit and shagged Cathy.

Well if you can't remember then maybe just don't say anything in the first place, because it might lead to you saying the wrong thing entirely.

Just a thought.

Not worried about goal. It's all just a deception. Whilst West Brom look at Kagawa and Welbeck and feel confident about keeping us goalless, our real high-scoring strike partnership, Evra and Evans, will hit them out of nowhere.

A quick 'Welbeck special' (back-heel hat-trick) and we'll be cruising.

agreed. Also WBA are not some wee club up north this season. They are playing some good football and currently sit on 6th position 2 points off 4th..

The team SAF should be more than enough to see off WBA. I can see the pitch being a big problem today mega amounts of rain in Manchester all day and I was reading that the pitch only passed an inspection at 13:10.

We badly need to keep a clean sheet today, Shane Long can be a handful so need to keep an eye on him.

Cleverly, Welbeck, Young and Kagawa should provide some tasty interchanging football. Looking forward to this
