Manchester United vs. West Bromwich Albion

So we've got Hernandez, Kagawa and Nani out there, but it's not happening yet.

Need to get VP on asap.

Fellaini on for Anderson, a kick up the arse for Buttner, and most importantly the whole team needs to be told to do everything twice as fast. This game is on a platter for players of the quality that we have out there if they just get in gear and take it.

Very sloppy. I'd like too see RVP for Hernandez.
Anderson seems to be growing into the game.

It's coming, West Brom will tire out in the second half and should get battered.

A shame we haven't taken the lead. That was a really encouraging half. These players look hungrier and more incisive than we had early in the season. Rooney needs to stay up front a bit more, and we need to keep feeding the ball to Nani and Kagawa. They are creating a lot of decent chances. For all our good work we just can't score in open play though.

Hardly creating anything upfront, West Brom has hardly been in trouble so far. Meanwhile lucky at the back that we didn't concede. Disappointing to see against an opponent like WB on our own ground.

Is he still in a job? The man who thought Cameroon should be favourites for the 2010 World Cup? Everything he says and does is terrible.

Sadly yes, a man who at his age still finds it acceptable to wear hooped ear rings

Nani brilliant? He's done some great things, but made a lot of really bad passes too.
A lot? Really?

If this was Rooney, I bet people would be creaming themselves. Nani's put in some fabulous crosses and generally passed the ball very intelligently. People don't think too much when other players misplace a pass or try a flick o trick that doesn't come off. With nani, it gives them these visions of frustration or some weird stuff like that (not aimed at you)

There's certainly a variety of opinion on here.

Because most of the players are doing pretty well, it's just that the overall team tempo isn't high enough. So you can get 'Rooney, Nani and Kagawa playing really well!' and also 'poor performance, we're moving in slow motion' and they're both valid opinions.

Jones and Buttner hinder the team far more than you'd expect - there's very little threat of an overlap

You can certainly see that when Nani drifts inside, as he's been prone to doing a bit. When he stays wide, it's not so much of a problem on the right, but it's down the left where we're struggling a bit.

Very sloppy. I'd like too see RVP for Hernandez.
Anderson seems to be growing into the game so maybe should get another 20 minutes.

Nani's done two bad things all half. One corner that didn't beat the first man, and one pass in added time with the outside of his foot which went to a WBA shirt. Otherwise, whenever he's been on the ball, things have looked like happening. Far too many posters with agendas on here rather than just saying what you see/have seen.

this is soooo bad it's painful to watch. People can complain about not having a creative midfielder but there is no movement whatsoever. Kagawa is wasted on the wing - Chicharito has reacted way too slow when Nani managed to get some crosses into the area - Rooney hasn't found room. It's basically all bad

Such ridiculous over exaggeration. It's not bad at all.

We've played some good football but the final product just hasn't been good enough I can't even remember a time we really tested the keeper.

I can think of 3 key feck ups that Buttner made and he made 1 good cross. I really want to give him a chance to prove me wrong, but it doesn't happen.

Come on, take off the fanboy goggles. The term. " brilliant" should apply to a performance way better than that.

Brilliant in the sense that his play has been a complete change of style and a revelation for him. He seems to be thinking before making passes. His passes have been considered and on the whole, accurate.

I'm no fan of Nani but fair is fair. Maybe you shouldn't let Nani's past performances cloud your assessment

Yup. His passing has been intelligent and purposeful. And his crossing very dangerous.

It wasn't that bad. If one of those headers had gone in, then the mood would be different in here. Our strikers need to convert the chances.

Hernandez needs to sharpen up. He's earned this chance and he's wasting it by getting caught offside so much. He also hasn't been alert enough in and around the box. He's usually much better at that.

I think Nani, Kagawa and Rooney are showing some decent movement but we aren't quite clicking and look shaky defensively.

Nani's crossing is dangerous and Kagawa had that lovely chip to Anderson - assistant flagged for offside but it wasn't so that was a nice piece of play - but apart from those it's a bit flat. Kagawa, Rooney and Hernández can't really get into the game. Anderson has been decent but I expect him to run out of steam as usual.

He's beaten Ridgewell one-on-one for most of the half. Should have had a free kick near the end of the half for that blatant piece of obstruction. I'd rather see Nani out there trying to make things happen than Valencia with his stop-start-stutter stuff (Been working on me alliteration).
