I hope for a win of course but I badly want Rooney to score so he'll get some rhythm back
If its 0-0 on 60 minutes, you will have wished Rafael started.
No more excuses today. If we can't beat this West Ham side at home we have a problem.
Play to win.
Or had Rafael started and it's 0-1 on 60 minutes after his positioning error cost a goal, and he just picked up a second yellow...
Hypotheticals work in many ways.
Loan deals rarely benefit a player, so i personally wouldn't want to see that happening to a player who has already shown a great deal of promise.
It's fine with someone like Diouf who was on the fringes, or Welbeck who also would have had a tough time getting games. But Rafael plays in a position where the other alternatives are either very old, very injury prone, or both.
It would be folly to send him out and then find out Nev has gone down to an injury and Wes is out for 3 months with yet another of his perennial problems.
I see what you mean, but too many of us seem to think that Rafael is terrible at defending which is not the case. He's had plenty of games where he's been solid at the back and good going foward, whereas O'Shea has had plenty of dodgy games at the back and been poor contributing in attack.
