Manchester United vs. West Ham United

My first game of the new season, no doubt it will cripple my already fecked throat..

I will settle for nothing less than the 3 points which slipped away over the weekend gone and I am certain the lads won't let us all down.

Comfortable win, with Rooney to bag at least one goal.

This is exactly the type of game we should be giving some of the younger players a chance, hopefully Gibson, Rafael and Hernandez get at least some time on the pitch although maybe Fergie doesn't feel he can experiment this early on in the season when points lost now could see us playing catch up already.

I feel like maybe I'm jinxing it but it is only West Ham right.:nervous:

As this is my first time to Old Trafford what time should I be looking at to get to the ground?

Obviously I need to get parked, and find my seats etc, as the game kicks off at 5.30 should 4.30 be about right?

i would like to see a Rooney and Hernandez partnership but doubt it will happen

Don't think he will experiment too much. Rafael to start possibly, other than this, if we have the match in the bag nice and early, as we should, then some of the youngsters to come on.

Watch the match again, mate. Assist, good movement, shots on goal. Did well.

seriously??

Yup, on several occasions he seemed to dribble himself into a corner, trying to take on/get away from several defenders, but didn't pass the ball and ended up loosing it.

TBH, I felt the team performance was a bit flat overall last week.

How likely is it that Nani will start on the right instead of Valencia, with Giggs or Park on the left?

I'm hoping he does, want to see him on the right, but don't want to see Valencia left out. Rargh.

In Sultan's seats, don't really know whereabouts they are but he said they were good!

I cannot wait.

if they're the same ones i got from him, (Villa last season, we lost ) in the family stand then yes, they're pretty good. close to the stretty end!! enjoy it!!

No experimenting please, full strength and if we're 3-0 up then bring on what ever...

Need 3 points, I'm certain Chelsea will get another 3.

If Rooney is fit then play him, Valencia deserves a rest, Nani on the right... Scholes and Carrick maybe, but Fletch still has been very good so both are still undroppable imo.

Left side should be Giggs...

We need are Right combination Nani/Rafael to really stick it up to Spector if he plays... he is not defensively good and Westham's back four hasn't settled down under A.Grant yet so we should be attacking our arse off.

Line-up:

----------------------VDS--------------------
Rafael---------Vidic---------Evans--------Evra
Valencia------Scholes------Carrick--------Nani
-------------Berbatov------Rooney------------

Score: Manchester United 4 - 0 West Ham

Goals: Berbatov(2), Rooney, Valencia.

Player to watch: Berbatov.

I think Carrick will start, mainly because he needs games and he's unlikely to be involved in England's fixtures... same goes for the old legs, they'll get a good weeks rest before Everton away.

Good weeks rest when we dont play Everton in 15 days, poor Scholes and Giggs if they need that long to recover after a game.

You put so much effort into these each week and yet you've got less of a knack for predictions than Pele.

First off, even I don't remember my predicts, it's just light-hearted fun... fact that you can remember how good/bad they were is surprising. Besides, how easy do you think it is to predict correct result? Let alone goal scorers, I dare you to try.

Besides, Carrick wears Puma, Fletcher and Nani wear Nike and Valencia Adidas.

<insert facepalm>

Jacob, all the boots are wrong.

I know, that picture is edited obviously, it is actually a line up taken off of Nike's website during the time Tevez and Ronaldo were with us. Next game I'll try to get them right for you

Is this on sky or ESPN?

If it's sky does anyone know how I can watch my Sky player in the US, If its ESPN then does ESPN US show the games?

Rooney will be playing. I hope to see Nani get a game and if Valencia is rested Nani should be play on left. Would love to see how Hernandez and Rooney play together but doubt that will happen. Also should give Rafael a start, he should be given a run at RB

On Saturday's lunch time kick off is shown on ESPN2.

The 3 PM kickoffs are on FSC and FSP

The 5:30 PM kick off is on FSC - which will be the case for this game.

Everyone on here seem to agree, that Carrrick should start, with either Scholes or Fletcher rested. This might be the perfect game for Scholesy to take a break. I also miss Fletcher-Carrick, it's been a while
Also Valencia needs some time on the bench in my opinion.
Nani, despite missing that penalty should play on the right, with Giggs on the left wing. The two up front for me should be Rooney-Berba, with Owen on as a sub. If Rooney isn't fully fit, Owen-Berba for me.
Don't see Chicharito making an appearance this time. Might as well leave him out and include Macheda.
Park is less likely to play, except maybe if Scholesy starts. To sort of provide the extra legs
Rafael on the right is a must. O'Shea should be dropped
With all due respect to West Ham, I think we'll get a 6-0 sort of result.
Rooney, Owen and Berba to all score
Vidic from a corner too. He was close on a couple of occasions last week
