To be fair, Berbatov right now is one of our key players. But he's been off late so no issue.
 
Not entirely sure why weve decided to go with basically 1 striker at home to Wigan when we've got 2 sitting on the bench one being Hernandez who had no game midweek either? Bench looks great and nice to see Giggsy back trouble is we can only make 3 subs and theres 4 quality options on there, hence ones going to be basically redundant today yet we're going 1 up front??

Lots of strange teams from Fergie these days.

I like this team. Lot of creativity. Good to see Park given a start as well - he sure deserves it. Rooney on the bench, probably some minutes in the 2nd half. Not that excited but like to see his fitness level.

Wigan have problems in defence. Which we should exploit.
 
If we're struggling it's all set for Rooney

Can almost see the headlines, it's going to happen isn't it?

Barbatov's been our best attaking player this season, aside from Scholes, who's also not playing, and both hims and Hernandez have been hugely key playes this season.

Just take away the goals from both ands we'd almost certainly be out of the Premiership race, possibly out of the Carling cup, and in a precarious position in the CL.

How much more key do you want them to be?
 
I hope we are a few goals up today before Rooney comes on

I like this lineup.

Good performances from Obertan and Macheda are rewarded, and bad performances from Chica and Berba are "punished". That is pretty natural isn't it?

Scholes on the bench is my only worry, he loves games against teams we dominate. But we should manage without him.

Let's just see how the match develops first before forming opinions and making statements. Yes, I'm surprised Berba and Chicharito aren't starting up front, but it's still a good line-up.

Instead of spastic comments, let's get behind the lads and see how they do. It's good we have options from the bench just in case, but let's support the 11 lads on the pitch.

Be interesting if Macheda puts in a top display today. That'd put ALOT of pressure on Berbatov. Ferguson really knows how to manage youth players.
