That's the sort of team I expect to be playing in the Europa League to be honest. Why rest Rooney and Welbeck and put Carrick in defense?
I reckon it'll be more of a back three when we've got the ball and Carrick will sweep between defence and midfield, with him almost playing in front of Evans.

Guessing Smalling and Jones picked up some sort of injuries considering they aren't even on the bench.
I love all the spackers slagging Fergie off for taking a gamble, when it's clear from the bench that we've been struck by another bunch of CB injuries.
