Welbeck and Hernandez look up for it at least and Buttner has a solid first half, the rest just look like they are in training as opposed to a competitive game, so lackluster.
He will score more than Hernandez and Welbeck this season combined.
Apart from Buttner doing well for himself and getting stuck in and some decent touches by Welbeck but no final product in that 1st half there's nothing much to get excited about. Hopefully a few of the rest of them will wake up a bit in the 2nd half.
Buttner reminds me of Heinze, gets stuck in big time. I like him.

Just missing tempo, a bit more pressing off the ball would be nice but with Vidic, Giggs, Carrick, Scholes and Ferdinand on the same pitch it's a risk. Some of you guys need to chill out.

I thought when we got the pen that it would either turn it into an afternoon stroll or an impotent performance. It's not just a lack of urgency, I mean of course when we've got Carrick, Scholes and Giggs in midfield we need really tireless legs around them and balance. We don't have a left winger and Hernandez has been pretty anonymous.

We started well enough but we randomly just stopped playing quickly and it's become like many games were last season, except we don't have any goals get. Bring on Valencia and RVP for giggs and Hernandez and we'll be set I think.
Like to see RVP and Kagawa come on beginning of the second half.

Welbeck has been neat but there's not enough movement. Always see people comment on the midfield not offering enough but where's the movement? Nani has done one good run from outside to inside but apart from that most players are static. Welbeck is doing some neat interplay but he's not making many runs in behind, neither is Nani and Hernandez has done little. I'm not entirely sure where Giggs is playing, he's not really playing left wing and he's not really playing in the middle, sort of inbetween but lacking the energy to carry the ball forward dangerously though he has done a few nice passes.

Nani needs a new contract and hug, sort it out SAF. Quality player but he hasn't looked as assured of himself this season.
