Manchester United vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

So bloody quiet. If this were Anfield we'd all be shitting ourselves laughing about now.

I'd like to see Eikrem. And Morrison. And what the hell has Bebe got in his boots? When he strikes the ball, it looks like someone kicking a balloon.

A goal will sort it. It has the tension of a cup game with all the added nervousness that the collective inexperience brings.

Carrick is really waning ... I was a huge fan of his as far back as West Ham ... It's annoying because he has the skills to do it all.

My hope for Gibson is just that we need a footballer in the Ireland team.

Carrick I feel will be a make weight in a future transfer which could be sooner rather than later ... Which is a shame as he was so good before

As for Gibson I feel he is the new 'liam miller'
Overhyped with potential that never Materialises .. I stand to be corrected but I can only see him with a squad role at united and ultimately he will move on in a season or 2 ...

I'm amazed that anyone thinks Gibson or Carrick have been good.

They haven't been bad, but that's all I could say for them.

exactly.

What exactly have they done that's been so amazing? All the play is going through the wings and for most of the game it's been Obertan and Bebe trying to create chances.

Carrick and Gibbo have been ok. Nothing more. Consider this is a very poor wolves team with many 2nd string players you expect Carrick and Gibbson to boss them.

Not happened.

Not one single shot on goal. Says it all really. Lot of endeavor. No real cutting edge or threat.

I think Obertan has been poor, too tentative. Meanwhile Bebe has been far from tentative. He's always trying to be positive and make things happen, even if he's rushed things at times.
Gibson has played well, but it seems his haters will never recognise that!

Macheda has been poor of course. Shame.
Smalling has been fantastic again.

So so first half

Justin Bebe and Oberman look good

Frustrating half really.

Understandably there is little cohesion and we are not playing as a team due to the changes and lack of familairity. Most of our attacks are falling down through carelessness and poor decision-making. Wolves have been professional amd given us nothing easy which has been enough to hold us off with ease.

Macheda's had a disappointing half and Obertan and Bebe clearly need alot of polishing before their ready. Difficult to assess the experienced heads in a game such as this but I'd have hoped for alot more from them. Only really Smalling standing out so far.

Excellent summary, agree

Bebe looks really promising, much better than what I thought. Miles ahead of Daily Mail's prediction.

Needs to sharpen up, and brush up his weaker foot. Physically he's got it there.

Nothing, it's just that the usual Gibson grief started early and for no real reason.

Smalling and Bebe has been quite good so far.

Would love to see Morrison and Eikrem given a go in the last thirty minutes or so, even Brady at Left-Back would be worth a try.

I am really liking Obertan in the hole.

I'll resist the urge to make fun of you and agree that he's looked most effective as the support striker. The problem is his final ball is not great and Kiko just looks lost out there.

Bit disappointed with Kiko for a while now. You can blame the service, but there seems very little in his body language and overall play to suggest he is doing everything he can to get goals.

Needs to get his act together because the 15 minutes are definitely over.

:lol::lol:

My thoughts exactly.

There was a ball where he was cornered, and the ball was at his left foot. Without much swinging he put the ball in at full speed :wenger:

Carrick put Obertan through on goal and also had a decent shot. Other than that he is collecting the ball near the edge of the box and distributing it pretty well. No hollywood 40-yard passes but effective nonetheless. It's a shame our wingers can't do anything with the balls they receive.

no matter what starting eleven we field these days we play slow hoofball football

Is this a new club policy?

a bit more urgency and pace please, we're United ffs, not Bolton of Allardyce
