Manchester United vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

Gibson and Carrick have been fecking pathetic.

I mean seriously, the pair of them need to get their heads out of their arses. Gibson's run around a lot and been ok(ish) on the ball, but he's NEVER stood where he should be and keeps letting Wolves out time and again.

Carrick just hasn't tried to do anything. He's never been the most imposing player but fecking hell.

and what on earth has happened to Park?

The only promise has been from Bebe and Obertan, and the pair of them turn to jelly when it comes to end product time.

Smalling's playing really well.

Terrible half, Bebe has been the only good thing about the game so far.

Smalling has been excellent. Strong on the ball, composed enough for a young defender and pacy as well. I'm definitely liking his chances.

Obertan has been liberated and looks up for it today. Ok, his final ball isn't the best and he does seem to stumble at critical times but he's looked lively.

Bebe has been good but lets not get too ahead of ourselves. The pace, and strength are there, but so is the rawness in his game. Lots of work ahead if he's going to make it.

I'll resist the urge to make fun of you and agree that he's looked most effective as the support striker. The problem is his final ball is not great and Kiko just looks lost out there.

Bit disappointed with Kiko for a while now. You can blame the service, but there seems very little in his body language and overall play to suggest he is doing everything he can to get goals.

Needs to get his act together because the 15 minutes are definitely over.

Yes, I didn't think about the possible reactions before clicking the post button.

But yes, he has been good playing there. A newbie pocco said he could be the player that we thought Anderson was going to be. I agree.

Gibson has played well, but it seems his haters will never recognise that!
I wouldn't say he's played well, but he deffo putting a shift in, unlike Carrick who seems to be hiding from the ball again...wtf has happened to him!

He has distributed the ball effectively whenever he's had it. Most of his passes are going forward so it's not as if he's been passing it backwards as he did his last few appearances. He has made several key passes, not his fault that the offense doesn't utilize them properly.

Well at least the girls on babe station will have their tits out in a few minutes ....

That was a bit shit, but thankfully I've just re-coated the wall behind my TV so there was some paint drying to keep my occupied for a while

The basic ability to trap a ball and make an effective pass to a teammate (let alone a quality creative one) seems alien to this lot...its Fecking annoying!

Smalling has been good!

As Bebe and Obertan are getting some comments I'll wade in as well.

First time I have seen Bebe and due to the nature of the signing I have no expectations for him so he's starting with a completely blank slate. He's clearly very quick but does not appear to have much subtlety to his play. He's tried to beat the fullback mainly with his pace and the times he has beaten his fullback have looked abit clumsy(like the misskick when both he and the fullback missed the ball and he recovered first). He did beat the fullback with one decent bit of skill and has shown occasional trickery. His crossing has been poor but he's in good company there.

Obertan has genuinally disappointed me as I know he has the talent and plenty of positives to his game. He's struggled to get in the game and has made some poor decisions. He's not been helped by Macheda's choice of runs who has been the poorest of the three out there.

I'd get Hernandez on there straightaway upfront with Macheda and take off one of Bebe or Park. Bebe's extremely raw and is mainly in the game for the experience and Park's not made any impact on the match.

I wonder whatever happened to Bebes dog when he came into money

I have doubts. I don't think Anderosn is going to be the player we thought he would be, but there is a nervousness about Obertan that makes me think he won't either.

If you follow Italian football or La Liga you can see some of the players who are his and Ando age and they look so much more composed in front of goal. Our lads have their strengths, but finishing does not look like one of them.

Compare Obertan or Ando to Ozil or Pastore....there's no comparison is there?

He's been crap.

The main reason we can't get any rhythm to our game is because him and Gibson have the combined midfield presence of Paul Scholes's thumb.

I really don't know what to make of Macheda

He looks awesome when he comes off the bench but I've only been impressed with him starting the once, against Hull on last day of 09
