Say what you want about AWB but he's categorically a better defender than Dalot. I'm not sure people realize how poor of a loan Dalot had at Milan. He started out steady, and there was hope from me that he'd iron out his defensive deficiencies in Italy but he remained positionally suspect throughout the season. It went downhill for him after disastrous displays against Lille and a loss against lowly Spezia.

The fixture list is too congested. We would get inuries. Ralf made the right call to rest them for a nothing game. Obviously the quality of the performance has suffered but better for the overall season.

The theory is that the first XI are getting five days intensive training ahead of Norwich to adapt to his style. If they had played tonight they would have only had a light session yesterday, a match today and recovery tomorrow which would give them 3 less sessions to get used to the pattern of play.
