Thanks for the updates lads. It's the first time I've 'watched' a penalty shoot out by posts. It was quite exciting really, my refresh button was working overtime.

sad to say, they were the better side tonight and fully deserved the win.
 
Grr, Benitez's "we'll win it on penalties" tactics seemed to have rubbed off on their youth teams as well.
 
I think Stevie Heighway is leaving this season so nice for him to go out on a high. Been a fantastic servant to Liverpool.

Hopefully some of these kids can make it through to the senior squad over the next few seasons.

I wonder if they could ever change this is a single game final and play it as a curtain raiser to the senior FA Cup Final ?

Don't think that'll happen tbh, would scuff up the pitch. Also you'll have potentially 4 sets of different fans wanting tickets. Anyway, it's nice for both sets of fans to be able to get to watch the game at the stadium for a cheap price

It's an idea isn't it - play it at Wembley in May, encourage a high turn-out

Yep would have to agree with that. I think the experience of the Pool players benefited but it's disappointing to know that we didn't play to our potential
 
one thing i noticed were our kids were a year or two younger then them. big difference at youth level. we will be stronger next season and more physically developed.
 
A bunch of fans in the Stretty 1st tier were excellent last night, a couple of 1000 of them didn't stop making noise and singing for the whole two hours. :D

I wanted to go over and join but was sat watching it with my dipper mate :mad:
