Oh please! let's not go thereWonder how much Axel Witsel will go for in today's market? They might complement each other well in that central midfield.

How about passing? You know, the main part of a midfielders job.

If we are trialing 1-0 with 10 minutes to go would you be happy to see Fellaini pushed higher up to be used like he was at Everton?

I don't think we bought him for his outstanding passing ability. I see him more as a ball-winner; someone Moyes will use to break up the opposition attacks upfield rather than a creator of chances. It's certainly a position we've needed to fill for a while now since Keano left and Fletch got sick.
About 3 of them duct taped together. He will be our Makelele.
He can pass though, and you'd think his passing stats would improve further as our players will increase his options.
Given that Moyes has already talked about how he can play off a striker that is what worries me.Probably. He's not a bad player at all. Moyes knows his strengths and will use them accordingly.
If he starts playing Fellaini there ahead of Shinji too I'll start worrying about Klopp's sanity.Given that Moyes has already talked about how he can play off a striker that is what worries me.
Cleverley can pass too. Just not well enough. I dearly hope I'm wrong on this but this is the most worried I've ever been one of our first team signings. I just don't think he's good enough and what he is good at is not a way I want to see Utd play. That no other club was willing to match his release clause says a lot for me.He can pass though, and you'd think his passing stats would improve further as our players will increase his options.

I'd agree with that. All summer I was going to be quite happy if only player United signed was Fellaini and kept the rest of the squad from last season. Today, with everything else that went on during the summer and especially on deadline day, I just can't that happy feeling going. Hopefully once I see him turn out for us and turns out to be the very good player in CM along side Carrick - then is when I'll really be happy as this signing should make me.

Well, not one of those players had a release clause. So not quite the same. Plus there's no way Arsenal weren't intersted in Rooney.Only one team wanted Rooney
Only one team wanted Ozil
Only one team wanted Suarez
so he's not in bad company
I think he's a far more rounded player than lots on here are giving him credit for. Gives us some much needed muscle and is far more creative than some people think. He's great at winning the ball back and very good at keeping it.

But had no desire to activate his release clause. The reason being that he wasn't worth it.Not enough to bid. They were also interested in Fellaini.
I'd agree with that.
I would point out too (for a general discussion) that even had we triggered the buy-out clause there is reason to believe that another club (like the Arse) wouldn't have jumped in and done the same. From what I understand that would have started a straight auction for the player so there was no guarantee that we would have got him for the buy-out number.
That would be Rooney to ChelseaThis is the signing I've wanted all summer. He is going to prove a lot of people wrong, and we finally have a player with a little nastiness about him to get stuck in when needs be
is he better than Thiago?
Without seeing how the clause is written, it may well be that meeting the buy-out by 2 clubs would allow Everton to auction the players contract.Do you mean in wages to the player?
As otherwise why on earth would there be an auction when there is a set buy out clause. You hit the fee, that's it, it doesn't matter if another team offer more, unless that was amazingly put in the contract too,.
His pass accuracy was 79% last season.

Scourned Scouser Natalie Rooney has revealed love rat Marouane Fellaini's embarassing bedroom tactics.
The blonde babe, cousin of Manchester United star Wayne said she first met afro man Fellaini when they were introduced last month by Everton youth player Jose Baxter.
Fellaini was said to be instantly smitten when he saw a pic of Nat's goregous figure and 32G boobs on Baxter's phone and began texting her instantly.
And it wasn't long before the Everton star, who has been dating long term love Laura Binet, romanced Nat, 19..... by asking her to get her bum out.
The Everton star even dropped his own trousers on their first date. "He kept saying, 'Don't be shy - I will show you mine," complained Nat.
Natalie told the News of the World: "It was so exciting dating my favourite player, but he was only interested in one thing - sex.
"But the sneak didn't tell me he had a girlfriend back in Belgium.
"Had I known I wouldn't have gone near him. Then he had the cheek to dump ME!"
"He would text me in broken English, he wrote: "Com please me only my family no hier Please for me babe."
She agreed to go to his plush flat by Liverpool's Princess Dock.
Nat said: "I thought he looked like Screech the geek from Saved By The Bell, so was a bit 'whatever' about it.
But Fellaini's chat up lines didn't get any smoother and asked the buxom babe if he could see her rear.
"He was trying to say he had seen my bum in a photo and asked if he could see it in real life." said Nat.
"I told him 'no way'. Then he dropped his trousers and mooned right at me. He did have a lovely bum and I slapped it - but still refused to show him mine!"
"He asked to see my boobs, and I love getting them out so I showed him. He said, 'Big, very big!'"
And next week they'll be even BIGGER when Nat flies out to Mills & Mills clinic on the Costa del Sol for a second £3,500 bra-busting op taking her up to a 32JJ.
Forgot how hilarious it was.![]()
