It'd be nice if we could keep the histrionics to the match-day thread. Fellaini's been no worse than most of the others so far, though something tells me their threads wont receive a similar treatment.
I think he has been and his struggles have been far more detrimental to our overall play. He can't get near City when we don't have the ball, he offers nothing in midfield going forward apart from physical/height prowess which shouldn't be important at this level. He's now been tasked with pushing forward when players like Giggs/Kagawa/Nani/Valencia would be ten times more useful in those situations. He should've been sent off and lost Silva for the first goal, it's been a travesty so far.

He doesn't move his fecking legs when we don't have the ball! He's getting overrun time and fecking time again against anything slightly resembling decent footballers.

He's not a United footballer, he's a Stoke footballer. I'm tired of seeing him in the team, especially as it reminds me of the tactical nous of the great magician David Moyes.

Shouldn't be on the pitch for the second half, partly because he intentionally elbowed someone in the face, partly because him playing for one of these clubs is ludicrous.

Can not wait till this summer. He should not be a regular for United. As stated when we first sign him, he is/should be a subsidary player.

Indeed.

Always seems like his natural instinct is "foul the man" in any situation. Every time he loses the ball, or is about to, his first reaction is to grab the opponent in some way, instead of putting pressure on him and getting it back without fouling. Today's elbow was just stupidity on a new level. You're in a decent position and have the ball under control - what do you do? Elbow to the chin, naturally. Almost wanted him to get sent off for it, so he could maybe learn a bit from it and maybe people at the club could have a talk to him about it.

Everton must be laughing their asses off getting that kind of money for a very limited player.

He's anti football.

I hope and wish every day that every single person brought in from Everton last summer will please get the hell out of Manchester United. He's such an absolute abomination of a football player. Pure cowardice, zero skill. A criminal on the pitch, harming fellow professionals. Get him out now.

The way he just jogs around makes me want to shoot himself. Phil Jones is a much, much, much better midfielder.

Finally we've seen him against top opposition and not West Brom

A shit, stupid, pathetic, baffling first half performance, with just a bog standard rubbish second half performance.

I probably haven't seen a midfielder in a United shirt who moves less. And yes, I've watched Anderson, but at least he runs for 60 minutes and die after that, where Fellaini can't move, he will never improve in that aspect so that's why he/we'll never be good against top teams. He can be good asset against average teams, but that's about it IMO.

Completely pointless investment, and what's biggest worry is that Moyes, our manager who will bring new players over the summer trained him for more than 5 years couldn't see that.

This says it all I think...

He's been like this every time we've played top half opposition. Completely out of place against City twice, Liverpool, and whoever else he took part against. Just hopeless. Never will he be anything more then a squad player, just not good enough. If we payed 15m for him along with a proper 30m player, then fine. But we didn't. We bought him to be a starter and that's how he should play. Not a waste of space.

He has been playing better recently and showing some real positive signs. In time he may continue to be a very useful asset in our midfield.

However... one thing that won't change is that he's a stupid player, who does very stupid things.

Most of the CAF could see that he wasn't good enough for us except Moyes. When you are wrong in comparison to the CAF you know you are crap.

Thought his defensive work was pretty poor, can't remember it exactly but there was a moment where he was almost walking back in the first half with Toure (I think) just a few yards ahead of him on the ball. Def did not look like he could push up as high as he was and then get back. Plus he does some very stupid and annoying things at times. That elbow on Zabaletta was ridiculous .

Was slightly less useless than in the previous derby. Still did basically nothing though.

His defensive work is always, without exception, crap.

It's attacking wise he sometimes can look half useful - if you're a team that resorts to lumping the ball forward and having him wreak havoc in the box.

At this point we might as well do just that.

Those who will defend him will probably wait when we play against some small club to come out of the bush to tell us how great he is.

That's him every game. As a midfield player he hardly tracks runners, and what's even more unforgiving is he just jogs back instead of busting a gut.

Would he not look a bit better defensively if he didn't waste so much energy sprinting into the penalty box whenever we have possession?

He's a dirty swamp donkey. He will never amount to anything other than a decent squad player here, £27 million when we already had Fletcher.

For how long will Fellaini be here after Moyes get sacked. I guess between 1 and 10 days after the new manager comes. Terrible player who gets owned everytime we play a good team. He should have been sent off today in the first half. As awful as the guy who brought him here.

I don't understand how a guy in his position can't grasp how the notion of urgency could buy him some time with the home support. Christ, how hard is it to put in a couple of 15 yard sprints to get in position when we've lost it. His good points are getting obliterated by his faults.

I think he could be decent for us. Got no confidence atm though.
