So has Fellaini. That's the reason I came and commented in a Fellaini thread. What about his ball watching for the Bayern goal? Has EVERYONE been doing that as well?
No. Where did I say that?

he's very dangerous in the air. plenty of stats down the years for that, most headers on target in the prem last year is one that springs to mind. i guess we'll see maybe he can contribute in the second leg

Yeah, remember that statistic that Ashley Young was one of the most prolific wingers in the league? Statistics don't show everything, Fellaini clearly fails the eye test

Not seen it this year though, he's not brave enough. He seems to just watch the ball if a players ahead of him and he has to be brave to get it, especially in the box.

Happened a few times today, happened against Clichy a few times against City.

He's a joke of a footballer. I couldn't believe his clumsiness at times and how he made little effort to win aerial balls :wenger:.
Moyes playing so advanced was painful to watch, Moyes is realizing that Marouane is hopeless as a CM next to Carrick so he gives him some freedom

Did his job very well tonight. Criticism is to harsh.

i dont care if he fails the eye test, he's good in the air, it's not really in question. he makes things happen. but like I said I guess we'll see if he can make a contribution

I think this is where I have to give in. He's here as a target man isn't he?
Well, he's fairly shit at that too. Lost loads of headers and generally headed the ball in a poor direction whenever he actually won one. Apart from a few bits, he was plain terrible.

He does struggle when playing against quality CMs

He was better in the 2nd half which isn't saying much because he was rubbish in the 1st. He kept giving the ball away. I bet he made more passes to Bayern players in the opening period.

What does he make happen? I was furious with him jogging back in position with Rooney busting a gut to cover for him.

He was atrocious again. A terrible player who should not be near here. Lost the posession almost every time he had the ball, lost pretty much every header (even against Alaba) and was sleeping when Schweini score the goal.

Moyes or not in the summer, I hope that Fellaini is sold. Preferrably to Crystal Palace or WHU.

Yea the criticism is very harsh here. He was decent and won the majority of his tackles. Everyone expected us to get spanked tonight and he contributed to the fact we didn't.

What job? I usually defend him but he was way out of his depth tonight and looked it.

Phil Jones is a better option in midfield for this type of game, despite not being a midfielder.

I really don't get his position in second time. Why the hell he was almost inside forward from the right while Valencia and Kagawa were on "the wings" of the midfield three?
Awful performance and cost us a goal.

Amazing that we managed a draw with the best team in Europe, despite playing with ten men. Well, some of you seem to think we were, anyway.

One of his biggest defenders, but can't tonight, simply can;t. Like I said before, he will come very handy in the prem against the cannon fodder, but the big stage isn't for him right now, especially with no pace around him.

He won 2/8 headers. He's 6'4"! He was awful, but I eagerly await his defenders coming in to say he was good.

fecking shite tonight. We would have won it without him, at fault for their goal as well. Should never play in a big game. Play him against small teams, never against a top 7-8 side.

Even more disgusting than his lack of quality is that he implores Moyes and the team to hoof the ball up to him. Revolting player. And we're stuck with him.

He tried his best but tonight he looked much like Bellion and Djemba when they played, in how far below the level he looked.

It's like having a Mk I Dalek on the pitch - the kind that had wheels instead of hover thrusters.

He might make someone nervous. The ball might bump into him from time to time.
But faced with a moving target or a staircase - he's stuffed.

Horrible player and gross waste of money. Watching him this season has played a huge part in the negativity towards Moyes I think.

I'm sure he did not pass the ball forward once.

well don't be furious, be happy, we were good and moyes takes the credit for once

I am happy with the team and for Moyes. But I am furious with his laid back attitude on the pitch. Everyone bust a gut there out today, barring that big toothbrush.

Maybe west ham will buy him for £15 million.

It is awful how he generally has no idea about what is going on around him and takes his own sweet time to pass or act upon. A little urgency in game and he can be a better player.

It doesn't help things that his success or failure will inexorably be tied to that of Moyes. He's the Keane/Cantona to Moyes's Fergie.
