I read something today about Rooneys intentions; apparently, upon realising Manchester United were unwilling to match -what he thought were reasonable- contract offers, it was apparent that the Glazers club intentions and ambitions are not what they once were in comparrison to other 5-star clubs. If Man Utd are unable to meet "fair" demands for there star players, then what chance have they of signing what is required to challenge for the top honours.
When City are biting at our heels, bringing in fresh faces, whilst offering three times what United are offering, then who says that there future -to him - is not a brighter one. And that's before we even mention Barca, Madrid or Chelsea, who are getting stronger and stronger, year on year; the clubs that realistically will be winning the next set of Champions leagues.

If it wasn't for the fact he played for United, Rooney would in my opinion be on the same level as Tevez, good player but not one of the worlds best.
