feck MUST. They're taking the focus off Rooney by blaming the owners. Twats.
MUST will use any and every situation to attack the owners everyone know this, its a shame really that on a day like this the first thing they think about is in essence blaming the glazers for Rooneys actions, not surprising but even so depressing.
In truth their a desperate bunch, have been for a while.
My thoughts exactly.
I imagine there will be a few "City Rent Boy" type chants which are meh, reasonable, but outright personal abuse will just push him out of the door.
At the moment I think Rooney is mentally all over the place, but he's odds on to stay here once he gets his mind straight.
I will reliterate what i have said before Rooney will be done by the time he is 28. When he retires like most English players we will talk about how great he could have been.
It's such azshame because if they saved their attacks for the real issues they'd be far more credible.
Morons.M.U.S.T on Rooney: Disappointed, and unhappy that ‘we are unable to compete even with small clubs like Manchester City
’By Nick Harris
19 October 2010
The Manchester united Supporters Trust (MUST) has responded to the news that Wayne Rooney wants to leave the club, with a spokesman saying he is “disappointed”, and that “we still hold out hope that the situation can be resolved.”
MUST also use the development to highlight concerns over the ownership of the club, and have a pop at rivals Manchester City – bookies’ favourites to sign Rooney - for being a “small” club.
“We back Sir Alex’s judgement as ever but our concern lies with the owners,” the MUST spokesman said. “They have saddled us with a huge debt and they are taking more and more money out of the club every season and the lack of net investment in the squad since they arrived is clear to all. They’ve bought players but are they like for like replacements in terms of the quality of Ruud van Nistelrooy, Roy Keane and Cristiano Ronaldo?”
“Our club is generating record revenues yet it appears we are unable to compete even with small clubs like Manchester City let alone Chelsea, Madrid and Barcelona. We know where the money is going and it has to stop. The question being asked by many fans is does the ambition of the owners match that of Rooney or indeed Manchester United supporters? On the evidence so far it would appear the answer is clearly not.
“The contrast could hardly be starker between the owners at Manchester City who are pumping millions into their club while the Glazers are leaching huge amounts out of ours. People talk about players being greedy with multimillion pounds contracts but those figures pale into insignificance compared with the hundreds of millions the Glazers have extracted from Manchester United through their takeover.”
A protest march against the Glazers is planned before the Tottenham game on 30 October.
.
How the feck is this the Glazers' fault?!
I am shocked. We've truly seen the worst of Rooney and some sections of the supporters after today's press release.
M.U.S.T needs to get fecked. I am glad they have no part in the club's ownership or we'd be the next Leeds.
After all this you still wanna show him "some love"?
Yes, but they and their ego-stroking little clique would be in charge, and that's what really counts.
They're just as bad as the Glazers. Maybe worse because at least the Glazers don't pretend to be anything but cash-grabbing bastards, whereas MUST pretend to be the saviours of the earth instead of a bunch of cynical power-mad twats without a fecking clue to rub between themselves.
He's been a brilliant player for United. We don't know why he wants to go. Let's just get on with it and see how it goes.
Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see that. He's having a torrid time, his form has dipped and he doesn't want to play for United. That's not someone treating a club like shit, that's someone who's having a torrid time and doesn't want to play for United. We're big boys and girls, there's loads of people out there who don't want to play for United, we'll get over him. At least he's being honest.
The door's still open for him so let's see if we can't change his mind or, if he goes abroad, wish him well.
I mean, if he goes to City all bets are off but that's just my two cents worth.
my point was thats its not impossible that both sides are simply playing hard ball in the negotiations, and whilst it was out of the public eye Rooney could tell united he wanted to leave everyday in the hope it would scare them into improving their offer, whilst united just sat there and thought 'Rooneys always said he'd never leave and wanted to end his career here he must be bluffing so we'll not budge' and no one on the outside was harmed
with the leaked stories this week from Rooneys people ramping up the pressure united have just gone one better with a perfectly delivered speech by the games greatest ever manager and by putting it out in the open Rooney's now got to put up or shut up. Its not impossible IMHO that he wants to stay and was merely following the advice of his money-grabbing agent by insisting he was serious about leaving in a bid to drive up his contract
Shits definately real now though, if he's genuine he may never play for us again
Why the feck would we want to play someone who is adamant about leaving the club?
I'm reporting you to someone who'll know doubt report you to the proper authorities.
Care to mention a vibrator to help our case?
500k reasons a week why, allegedly.
No one can match that, hence why his people never even entertained our offer.
Great news if you ask me.
No more will i have to find excuses to defend the fat scouser, as why he belongs alongside the worlds top three players. If it wasn't for the fact he played for United, Rooney would in my opinion be on the same level as Tevez, good player but not one of the worlds best. Its only his image that united give him, that people argue otherwise, people/media overlook that fact far too much if you ask me. United build superstars up more so than the other way around.
Technically there are far superior players out there that would probably cost and have wages half as much and bring what Rooney brings to United.
40-50M offer we should get rid, 18months on contract or not.
It's such azshame because if they saved their attacks for the real issues they'd be far more credible.

And were a little more professional about it.
am i the only one who believes that Rooney will stay?
Seems like his heads all over the place at the moment on and off the pitch, once he gets his head straight I can see the whole thing being forgotten about in 12 months
I think Rio's tweets meant that the players didn't know SAF was going to talk about it. I'm sure they knew about the situation. There is that point, but the part that gets me is how SAF said he talked to him and Rooney said he wanted to leave - if it was just him playing hard-ball to get a bigger offer surely he will look at the offer we made, according to SAF he hasnt even looked at it.
I would like to be wrong i really would but if you ask me hes nailed on to leave. But reading Rios tweets was pretty odd it appears the squad (or him) didnt know about the situation till now
Seriously, how is nobody considering the thought that he just wants to get the feck out of England?
He was LAST person I ever expected to want to leave United. I thought he was the finest example of the word 'loyal', clearly not.
I want to know what has really gone on behind the scenes.

Call me really biased or not but for me there isn't a single possible and understandable reason explaining why he'd ask to leave. He's at a competitive club, earning lots of money and was loved greatly by the fans.
I don't even wanna look for excuses anymore, I'm tired of it

I'm very sad if that's true.
