MERGED: Rooney signs new contract!

Rooney just leaving his agents house, statement might be imminent.

Rooney - I'd like to go to club that matches my ambition.

Considering we are awaiting a Rooney statement can people stop posting shite. I'm looking at you UJ

The author of that article and i use that term loosely, is presenting on Talksport right now along with Jason Cundy.

Other gems include what appears to be the received wisdom, that it is a damning indictment that we should be outbid by City. Even if we had no debt whatsoever we'd still impose limits on transfers and a wage structure for pity sake.

It is also starting to bug me how some in the media are lumping the Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney situations together, as if they are identical.

There is a common link though.

They are all mercenary cnuts looking after themselves despite claiming undying love for United.

You too need to calm down and get back to talking about van der vaart and value.

 Value, the one thing the club I support keeps bleating about. Now I could either bury my head in the sand like you, dreaming up ways to disguise the obvious, or I could face facts and discuss what is blindingly obvious. I chose the latter.

As for VdV...one thread discussing the merits of signing him for £8m over Bebe for £7m hardly makes me whatever you're trying to say I am.

You need to join us in the real world. Not everything is nice, but at least it's not full of airheads in cloud cuckoo land like yourself.

I'm surprised that Guardian doesn't have live update of this Rooney situation today.

You are quite a drama queen seriously. The conspiracy was just a thought, i've never said it would happen.

Ah but they are saying it to prop up a claim that they are examples of mismanagement on Fergie's part. The media love a throwaway line such as that, true or not.

To me if it was positive news he'd have been at Carrington with his agent :(

I think it has got to the point of no return (hope I'm wrong). He and his agent were probably discussing what the best excuse is for to tell the press as to the reasons for him wanting to leave. At the moment nobody in football (even people like Alan Green) can understand his motives for leaving.

His agent is a prick, imo this saga is all his doing and he's probably guaranteed millions from any move to Shitty. Rooney's head's been turned; he's too stupid to realise what he has at Utd is alredy special.

Yeah, I know. The thought was straw-clutching at it's most cringeworthy though. I pulled you up on it and you decided to go so for back in time that Oasis would still be No.1 in the charts, City hadn't two penny's to rub together, and the World Trade Center was still standing.

Aren't united fans above the gutter press?

It will surely tell us something about our noisy neighbours if he goes there, but I think they have more class than that.

In my opinion its Roo + agent rattling cages about contract negotiations.

The person I personally feel sorry for is his wife Coleen (or is it Colleen).

She comes across to me as a proper childhood sweetheart and a loving and faithful wife.

As opposed to a money grabbing slapper who wouldn't have been seen dead with him if he wasnt the most famous player in England.

You seriously think that his reputation as the best young player this country had seen in decades didnt slightly influence her decision to get involved with him.

Fixed.

The "club you support" hasn't mentioned the word 'value' in months. You, on the other hand, will not fecking stop going on and on and on and on about it.

It's incredibly tiresome.

Maybe if people like your good self weren't so naive, I'd not have to discuss the issue so often.

Besides, this is a forum to discuss all things United, there are appropriate threads for debt, value, and transfer policy debates, I've give my two penny'th in said threads, you've disagreed. End of story, or at least it should be.

I'd suggest it's time to jump off that high horse of yours again, and crawl right back up your own arse, Pogue.

What did he said?

Someone he knows at the club who he trusts has told him that it is entirely to do with money, nothing else but £££s.

Then when asked if he felt City had better players and Rooney stood a better chance of winning medals there, he drew their attention to the Blackpool game and said it was too early for claims like that.

They have spent the show trying to put us down you see.
