Just spoken to Fergie. He says Rooney's apologised to him and the players. 3 minutes ago via Twitter for iPhone
This.
Surely people don't think he's in it for the long haul now?
Nah he didnt hand in a transfer request. But essentially it was like that. He questioned our club, our ambitions, our manager and our players in public with a statement close to saying "he wants to go somewhere else".
He wont sack his agent and it'll be a long summer probably still ending with Rooney at another club.
This was about a new contract. He wanted more money and to be honest he played a fecking blinder, well his agent did anyway.
To quote Nelson Mandela which I think sums up Rooney perfectly:
"All I want is bitches, big booty bitches/ Used to sell crack so I could stack my riches"
If Rooney wants to fix things, he needs to fire his agent and say he was ill-advised.
He'll probably pull a Stevie-G style u-turn at the last minute, so can everyone please refrain from burning any shirts for the time being.
What makes you say so? If Rooney wanted to leave, he could have done in January but instead chose to sign a new five-year deal.
I'll see you ten years when Rooney is still here.

The only thing this week confirms is that Alex Ferguson is an absolute genius. An astonishing performance. #mufc 3 minutes ago via web
Why say so? He could have left in January if he truly wanted to leave. Why bother staying?

Don't buy into the other players being angry with Rooney at all. They will be delighted. He's their mate, a great player, someone who (cont)

. . can help them win trophies - and they know Wednesday's statement was written by Paul Stretford, not Roo. It will quickly blow over . .
