Cheers, controlled performance by us. Would have loved to have seen us blaze Celtic to pieces but we are playing Everton away on Saturday afternoon.
All in all a great performance tonight. Wayne Rooney once again was brilliant. Anderson worked from the first to the last whistle, ran and ran. First half was the best, very fluid football from the front 4. Celtic didn't have much in their locket attacking-wise and our defence dealt with an potential problems easily. Evans was composed and impressed me a lot, he slotted right in the back four like he's always played there. John O'Shea covered for Evra well, had some neat touches tonight, he can always be relied on, good to have a player like him in the squad. Starting to feel for Carlos Tevez, came on and seemed desperate to make an impression, shot for goal when he had better options so heres hoping he gets some more chances in the future. Berbatov was a poacher today, both goals offside however. Nani did very well, though his delivery from corners was suspect.
