We were calling ourselves "Man Utd" long before rival fans and munich.
Does seem to be the most popular term.
But so do millions of our own fans.
I agree that Man Utd sounds stupid, but the importance some people United fans attach to its usage is out of all proportion. In of itself it's not a term of abuse or inherently disparaging, and was (and still is) used by lots of United fans, as well as being used by the club occasionally.

To be fair he was probably just basing it on how we played against Kansas and that we have a weak squad because of the World cup. He probably didn't watch the Carling cup final when we beat Tottenham with Fosters and Welbecks at Wembley. If we can beat them we should beat these, skimmed team or not.

The MLS refs almost always call a foul everytime some falls. They can be really biased. I go to the Toronto FC home games and I can vouch for how crap they most usually are.
