Irrespective of the difference in player quality, Mourinho simply cannot say that considering what we've spent during his time here. Should be challenging for all the trophies.

The kind of comment that sums up the massive inferiority complex that has grown at the club vis-a-vis the other top clubs since 2013. Not entirely Mourinho's fault, but he hasn't succeeded in getting rid of it, and he seems to embrace it through his approach to games and his general demeanor.
