This thread is to be used for the RedCafe "Minute by Minute" report only.

This should be posted in by a maximum of three caftards - nominated in advance - and is intended to provide minute by minute coverage of the next game. This will hopefully allow those of you unable to watch the game to read a summary of events on the pitch, without having to sift through the hundreds of excitable and conflicting posts in the normal match-day thread. This is not intended to replace the match-day thread, which should still be used by anyone watching the game to share their views and opinions of the action as it unfolds.

Please do not post in this thread if you have not been nominated to do so. If you wish to contribute to one of these threads, please PM "mosesfromtala" with the game you wish to cover to and he will let you know availability.

This thread will be running for a trial period, over the next few weeks. We hope it will be a valuable resource for those caftards unable to catch games on a stream or on TV. Please don't take the piss by posting in this thread without permission. Any posts by anyone other than the nominated reporters will be deleted and repeated inappropriate posting could lead to a ban.

Tevez was back late from Argentine duty I believe. Rafael preferred to Brown. The majority of our central midfield out injured
 
Sorry for the late start here Caftards, was just finishing off my dinner. Just as i sit down, the West Brom right back breaks down the right, but puts a poor cross straight out of play.
 
Scrappy start to the match, both teams giving the ball away several times in the first few minutes. Berbatov is out wide left with Rooney alone up front at the moment, assume they'll interchange as always. Only 'incident' so far is an offside for West Brom
 
Early tester for Carson, after lovely play between Rooney, Ronaldo and Berbatov. Rooney and Ronaldo link up on the half way line, before Rooney finds Berbatov upfield. Ronaldo breaks forward, and is found by Berbatov, and then has a tame shot straight at Carson. Encouraging from United.
 
5 Minutes played and corner to United.
 
Rooney takes the corner. Ball comes back to him, and he puts a deep cross in, too high for Vidic who heads straight into the air and Carson collects.
 
Fletcher heads wide from a Rooney cross, who has started off taking the corners, neither of which came to anything. Cross to far above Fletcher, did well to direct it even close to goal
 
Berbatov sitting just in behind Rooney it seems. Free kick to United about 30 yards out. Ronaldo standing over it.
 
Free kick straight into the wall, but United keep possession. Ronaldo plays a short pass to Berbatov, who tries to chip a ball into Park in the box. Park tries to control but is shrugged off the ball. 10 minutes played.
 
West Brom work the ball out wide, and swing a dangerous low cross in towards Bednar. Vidic clears. Another cross put in from the other wing, after Rafael is beaten but VDS collects.
 
West Brom will be happy with their start. They are passing the ball around well, and do not look overawed at all.
 
I'm sick of listening to Swedish commentary. West Brom caught offside again, some of their supporters getting ahead of themselves chanting 'ole' after every pass. Even contest so far
 
West Brom launch a counter attack, after a United move breaks down on the edge of their box. A shot comes in from distance, but its straight at VDS.
 
Ronalo wins a corner out on the left wing. Rooney to Fletcher, back to Rooney, who swings in a cross which is cleared for another corner.
 
Bendner goes down holding his face, chasing a lost cause going back to Van Der Sar, nothing in it from what I could see. Obviously nothing given, United fans jeer
 
Park intercepts on the half way line and breaks forward. He is eventually fouled and wins a free kick. Giggs to swing it in.
 
Ronaldo goes down claiming penalty. He seemed to be obstructed but camera angle was not great. Nothing given anyhow. 19 minutes played.
 
Game hasn't got going yet, 20 minutes gone. Neither side created a clear cut chance. Not the greatest game to be doing this commentary thing to so far! Fletcher started well for United, as has Rooney. Who promptly wastes the ball booting it 40 yards to Carson
 
Rooney tries to play a long ball up to Berbatov from the right wing, but its poor and straight to the keeper. United have not got going really. 21 minutes played.
 
Rooney scores but the referee has ruled it out! Rubbish decision that. The right back has dropped himself to the floor, after Rooney beat him and amazingly Halsey gives West Brom a free kick. It was a wonderful finish from Rooney as well.
 
West Brom gave it away on the edge of the area to Ronaldo. He cut inside and fed the ball to Rooney in the penalty area. I think he's been penalised for a foul on the first man he took the ball past, might have been a little tug. Took it past another, struck it sweetly past Carson, but the goal is ruled out, false alarm!
 
Ronaldo is obstructed on the right wing, and goes down rather dramatically. Free kick anyhow. Giggs swings it in, and Rooney gets to it at the near post. Carson makes a good save and WBA clear.
 
Great save from Carson, Rooney header from a Ronaldo free kick on the left touchline. United starting to pile the pressure on. Ronaldo forward again, this time comes to nothing as his cross is aimless
 
Another low cross in to the near post. Comes off Rooney's heel unluckily and WBA clear again. Better from United.
 
Possession in the last 5 minutes. United 62% WBA 38%. 26 minutes played.
 
Free kick to United 25 yards out. Very central. Ronaldo placing the ball...
 
Another free kick against Ronaldo, this time a bit closer to the goal, central. They can't live with him on that left hand side, everytime he gets the ball he skips past a couple of them. Giggs standing behind the free kick but no doubt Ronaldo to strike from here
 
and hits it straight into the wall again.
