Seen a replay of the disallowed goal. Rooney brushes Robinsons arm, was a very generous decision for me. His finish wasn't quite as sweet as I thought, he slipped as he struck it, but still went past Carson. West Brom fortunate to be level still in my book
 
Ball breaks for Rooney, who plays a lovely ball into Ronaldo in the box. His shot is blocked, and goes for a corner. Taken quickly and comes to nothing.
 
Dangerous from United now. Ronaldo played through by Rooney, blocked and the ball goes out for a corner. All the play in West Broms half at the moment, crowd getting louder too
 
Rooney is at the heart of everything good for United. Ronaldo is heavily involved as well. Berbatov in comparison has been relatively quiet.
 
Park links up well with Berbatov on the right wing. Berbatov tries to swing a cross in but it is blocked and goes out for a corner. Berbatov not happy with himself there. Corner comes to nothing though, but United do win another one which Rooney is swinging in.
 
Successive corners for United again. First after a cross was blocked from Berbatov. Now a third corner, ball bounced in the area and could have gone anywhere. Bounced behind the United lads, put out for another corner, which comes to nothing. West Brom have ten men behind the ball. O'Shea is ready to come on as a substitute
 
Corner evades everyone and is cleared for another one on the other wing. Giggs takes but WBA clear.

Commentator just saying that word from the dug out is that Evra has a slight hamstring strain.
 
O'Shea on for Evra after Fletcher shoots over from distance. United are pressing but the ball is just not falling for them.
 
O'shea involved straight away. Finds Rooney with a low cross. Rooney twisting and turning but the ball is cleared for a throw. Replays seem to indicate that Rooney had his shirt pulled in the box. Speaks to the referee but nothing is given.
 
O'Shea offside after Ronaldo gives him the ball back from a throw. Have a clue lads

Rooney went over to hug the ref then, think he's still complaining about the goal being disallowed. Has a case
 
Rooney finally wins a free kick on the half way line. Applauds the referee somewhat sarcastically. United attack and win a corner which Giggs takes. Ball is half cleared, but comes back out to Giggs. He swings a cross in, and United appeal for Penalty after a hand ball. Nothing given, except another corner. Rooney takes, and again United appeal for penalty. Nothing given once again.
 
Handball!!! Rio keeps the ball in on the by-line, Robinson has his arms spread eagled out ala John Terry. Referee only gives the corner. It was a bit close to Robinson in fairness, but if you're spreading your arms out like that, you're living dangerously...

Giggs chips a ball into Rooney in the box. He lays it off to Berbatov who gets his shot away. It is deflected and loops up into the goalkeepers arms. United regain possession almost immediately though.
 
West Brom win a free kick in the United half! Brunt to take from deep. It goes to the back post, where it is headed back. United half clear, before ball comes off WBA player and goes out for a goal kick.
 
Ronaldo puts a lovely ball into the box from the left wing. Somehow evades everyone though. Story of the half really.
 
It came amongst all the United pressure so don't think it got commented on, one of the West Brom defenders got booked, I think for saying too much to Halsey. 0-0 half time

Confirmed Zuiverloon was the man booked for West Brom

Slow first 20 minutes of the match, fairly even up to that point, no real chances on goal. But it's been all United last 25. I think the goal was legitimate, Fergie might have a thing or two to say about it if we don't score today. Ronaldo has had 4 strikes on target, only man to have had more than one effort on goal. Berbatov has been very quiet, although the few occasions he's been involved, he's produced little moments of quality - nothing really telling though. Ronaldo and Rooney causing all the problems so far
 
West Brom will be delighted to go in level at the break. They have been under constant pressure for 25 minutes, and United have had a legitimate goal disallowed. United have had several penalty appeals, and should have had at least one of them. Best players have definitely been Rooney and Ronaldo.
 
Players coming back out onto the pitch. Let's hope we can find the breakthrough in this second half.
 
I've had a pee and poured myself another bottle of Falcon, teams are out and read for the second half. Game on, more of the same please lads, West Brom won't survive another 45 minutes of that kind of pressure :D

Halsey has a word with Rooney, but seems fairly jokey. Still giving him jip over some of his decisions I'd bet
 
Second half underway and United regain possession straight away.
 
Ronaldo and Park have switched wings. Ronaldo has gone over to the right, with Park on the left now.
 
Berbatov does well to get a cross in from the right wing. Rooney just fails to make a proper connection, and West Brom clear. United straight back at them though.
 
Hull boss Phil Brown is in the crowd, scouting the opposition. We play Hull home next right?

Extremely hopeful handball shout from the United crowd, one West Brom player played the ball onto another trying to clear for a left wing cross. Ronaldo felled on the edge of the area, nothing given. Right in front of the ref, open your bloody eyes eh
 
Brunt finds space on the edge of the United box, and fires in a dissapointing shot high and wide.
 
Great strike from Rooney punched away by Carson. Seconds earlier John O'Shea almost found himself through on goal, but for a donkey touch. West Brom breaking now, but cut out by Vidic. Game coming alive, end to end
 
Wonderful football from United, with Rooney Berbatov and O'Shea all involved. O'Shea has a poor touch on the edge of the box, ball breaks for Rooney who whallops the ball. Carson makes a good save and West Brom counter. Move breaks down though and United attack straight back. Rooney crosses into Fletcher who miscontrols and the ball is cleared. Frantic couple of minutes.
 
Bednar off for Miller.
 
Park crosses deep, misses everyone. Ronaldo does brilliantly to keep it in and Rafael is on it in a flash. Cross cleared though. Good effort from the players though.
 
Berbatov should have done better there. Gets space on the edge of the box but shoots straight at Carson.
