And even more annoying than the chance squandering, is the fact that every loose ball is picked up by one of their players, who then has time to control the ball and do whatever they fecking want with it.

Yep, there's just a big empty void, currenly filled by Fletcher, but crying out for a Hargreaves. Newcastle were given the chance to take pot shots from around the box and it's no shock one went in.

I agree. The way this game is heading, its calling out for Michael Carrick. He can split their defence with accurate passes and will help our defending as well.
 
i believe we're losing the battle in midfield, fletcher is getting closed down very quickly by emre/parker, thus loses the ball which means scholes has to cover for him. bring on carrick or even o'shea
 
It's amazing the accuracy of Scholes from just outside the box. Just set it up for him there and 9 out of 10 times he will hit the target with a great chance of scoring.

Now I go again at TV, if the minute 60 no score, I go to the computer again :D :D :D
 
In all fairness to Rooney, that re-direct should have been in, Given was very lucky.

Its called a World Cup hangover, add to that he rushed himself back to be there.
 
We all must remember that without rooney on the field other players wouldnt have the space to get open. He commands attention. The other players need to finish. Rooney will get it right.

When Larson finally can play and Ole and Saha are fit, Fergie should rest Rooney for a couple of games.

Fletcher's been pretty iffy. He can't really fend off Martins who has been targetting him to nick balls off him. Him and Vidic have been playing it back to VdS far too often instead of looking to carry the ball from defence. Shame really cos Fletcher's vision is pretty underrated and has shown very often that he can pick out some peach passes.

Scholes until the goal had his worst half for United this season.

Parker again has been fecking brilliant. Lovely player.
