Have a look at photos of Giggs with his socks down

That's from last year. Looks pretty hairy to me so unless they changed something drastically in how they massage their players I have no clue what you want to say.

The only thing I would consider that some players do it because they tape their legs a lot and it's easier to do on hairless legs.

Non the less I'm pretty sure it's more a "fashion" thing than anything else, because I'm pretty sure that I saw a lot of really hairy legs on the pitch during the 90s.

Even though I don't really shave my legs, I don't see what the issue is. I see some people at the gym with shaved legs just so they can see the difference in tone in their calfs once they first started.

It's just hair.

Exactly.

If guys wanna shave their legs I don't have a problem with it but I have a hard time believing that all of a sudden legs need to be shaved to withstand the otherwise unbearable pains of leg massage.

Edit:

Interestingly looking at a picture from this year it really looks like he is shaving his legs.

Maybe they started using wax for massaging recently?

Looks indeed like this leg shaving is a thing now, at least I can't spot a hairy leg in this picture.

Well I take everything back, looks like leg shaving is standard procedure these days, may it be for massaging or leg taping probably doesn't matter in the end.

Its been going on for years its for massage and strapping whats the big deal?

Meanwhile back to Neymar. Cruyff publicly and some of the Barcelona board off the record are now using phrases like:
not developing as expected
not needed
too expensive
not the right player to be alongside Messi

All of which is probably true, with the expensive issue maybe more serious than people think.

Real Madrid are looking at him again as a Ronaldo replacement (the stance on Ronaldo is now supposed to be, "we'd like him to renew - at the right price").

If the Spanish clubs don't take him I guess the next in line are the sugar daddy clubs.

His talent is not in question but you wonder a bit why the big clubs are still a bit hesitant to buy him

They're not. He's said, repeatedly, that he's not leaving Brazil till the world cup.

It's possible that Barca already have a deal of some sort in place.

Fergie really should take his wanking sock off and buy this kid.

£40m on neymar or bale? I know who I would prefer.

This kid has the kind of talent that only comes along once in a while.

The ability to take on 2/3 players at pace and score is something we desperately miss since ronaldo left.

Everyone's assumed that Barca have done a deal for a while, but if the rumours are right, they're changing their minds. Of course they may just be trying to negotiate the price, which has gone up every time I've heard it.

I hope that, should he go to Barça, he is not 'David Villa'd there and forced to be just another cog in the machine around Messi. He is too good for that. With good management, they can afford to give him total freedom (ala Messi) with a better back 4 and more defensive stability further upfield. This kid will be the best player in the world one day, I feel. Despite his reputation, he seems very grounded and sensible.

In the Guardiola book, it hints that Messi was asked for advice/permission about whether the club should go for Neymar... he gave his approval.

would amaze me if barca has the chance they would turn it down because messi says so.

If/when his sale does come, I would spend the whole summer budget on him, he really could make that much difference to us IMO.

Is Neymar disciplined enough to succeed at Barca ? His talent isn't under question but you know how Henry said he's never had to work as hard as he's ever had off the ball for Barca.
Only Messi is given some leeway from their crazy pressure tactic.Neymar has always seemed like a lazy cnut to me

Neymar's not lazy, that's a bizarre statement likely based on his flamboyant appearance and flair.

He has some of the best footwork out there in the game today. Sublime technician and he's putting up with shithouse defenders in Brazil's Southern division, when he eventually moves to Barca he will turn it on. The guy is insanely gifted with a football.

A lot of people criticise him over being too much of a show-off. What do you expect a player of his ability to do in a league of such low quality?

Obviously he's going to take advantage and mess around a bit. Once he moves to a beter league, he'll start to turn in on and mature.

did he dye his beard?

£32mil? Wasn't that reportedly the final offer we made for Lucas? Seems that by that logic we'd consider Neymar decent value. Although possibly hard-working boshing-it-up-the-wing Lucas was more Fergie's cup of tea.

Also.. feck off City. Obviously.

haha no way are they getting him for 32 million.

As overrated as I think he is he wont be leaving for less than 40 with all the hype around him. Besides havent Barca paid 15 mil up front already for him?

You wont be calling him over rated when he leads vidic / ferdinand a merry dance around the pitch.

If the lad is available for anything close to £40m we should break our transfer record fee.
