I do think Moss was a lot more mature when Patriots signed him compared to Dez now. There is also a big gap in the talent between the two.

Dez's stuff is mostly overblown by the media. He's no more a diva WR than any other former top tier player. I'm sure he'd fit right in with the Pats and play within the BB e̶g̶o̶ rules.

Dez is nothing like TO in the attitude/diva persona.

The Seahawks have dealt a 6th rounder to the Packers for Brett Hundley.

That’s a ridiculous amount ...

Not saying he isn’t necessarily worth it but that’s like 20% if the cap on one individual.
Rodgers is at least 20% of our team. We’re nothing without him.

Fair play Rodgers taking the money, no guarantee the management in Green Bay would spend it wisely. They've fecked him up until now.

And with a salary like that, it’s gonna be difficult to get players who will mean that he doesn’t need to be 20% of your team.

Not saying he isn’t the best QB or whatever so we don’t need to go into any of that or get defensive. Just simply saying that with a salary like that, it’s difficult to find space for other quality players.

The Patriots are doing it for years. So it can be done.

Depends on whom you pay. Dolphins paid Suh ridiculous amounts and they were still as shit as they were before. Pay AR12 and he'll drag you into playoffs.

I'm glad Rodgers extended his contract with the packers.
He deserves to be the highest paid qb and therefore player in the league.

This also eliminates my horror vision of Rodgers joining the dark side and becoming Darth Rodgers to dominate the league with the evil patriots empire, after Darth Brady has retired and left the side of Imperator Belichick.

Mychal Kendricks has been charged with insider trading.

He will be lucky if he doesnt get serious jail time for that. I think sentences can go up to 25 years...

What an idiot.

He will earn $80m by March 19 apparently. Front loaded contract means perhaps they will be able to afford a supportig cast? Im not a cap expert though!

Bridgewater to Saints is a good trade, provided they’ve not given up too much. Solid backup if Brees gets injured.

Tbh 70m of that should be for back surgery given the way he's been carrying packers

Kap‘s lawsuit against the NFL is going to trial.

How they have space to pay him $80m over the next 1or2 seasons is another matter!
Supposedly that cap space in the near term is why they were (are?) favorites to sign Khalil Mack.

Which makes you wonder if they've been holding back the money during the prime years of the most talented QB of all time.

I'm full of preseason Broncos hype.

Lots of positive vibes in Broncos country, it seems. O-lines should focus less on Miller with Chubb in the mix, Thomas is 100% fit, Sanders had a great preseason (and a QB that loves throwing to slot receivers), and both Freeman and Sutton look like they can play.

The division is there for the taking if the Chargers don't get their act together from the beginning.

For anyone following Hard Knocks - Just how good were Deven Cajustre and Nate Orchard last night.

Both had great games

Yep, I'm genuinely pretty optimistic, they've made a lot of really good roster moves this off-season.

Not seen episode 4 of Hard Knocks yet (was planning on watching later) but I did see the highlights of the Browns game and it did look like Cajuste especially made a couple of plays. Thought I saw something somewhere suggesting that Orchard was right on the edge of the roster cut, so whether last night was enough we'll see this weekend. Am loving this series of Hard Knocks so far though.

Personally think that the AFC West will be pretty strong again. Chargers definitely look good, Broncos have what looks like a great defence again, and the Chiefs are absolutely loaded with offensive targets. I'm strangely feeling pretty confident about the Raiders, especially if they can get Mack back on the field (big if right now). There's some holes in our roster for certain, but we do look stronger than last year based on what I've seen.

Why don't you just pay the guy? I would think it would even be better to sign him up before Donald signs his new contract because Mack will be looking for similar money and Donald's contract will be the best paid non-QB contract in the league, I think.

Raiders are looking for at least 2 first round picks for Mack, which they won't get imo.

I can't really figure that out myself.

My theory is that he doesn't want to talk until Donald sets the bar, so he can go higher. Equally the Raiders aren't exactly flush, either in cap space, or, with the move, money generally. We paid the O-Line big money, Carr got big bucks... doesn't leave masses for Mack. Maybe they're trying to hold out until Vegas by putting the franchise tag on him.

No one really has the draft collateral for 2 first rounders... not since the Browns used all theirs this time!

Aaron Donald, Rams are close to finalizing a 6-year, $135m deal with $87m in guarantees. Biggest defensive deal in NFL history.
