More full of crap than a curry house toilet
Today’s squad signals a clear out this month...Fellaini, Sanchez, Darmian, Rojo all to go
Not sure I even want to sign anyone this window, would rather take the rest of the season to properly stress-test the current squad so we can make an informed decision on who we actually need. The only benefit would be to allow him more influence (ie more than zero) in this transfer window.
That said, less than a month in I not sure he'd know what he would be after right now. I doubt utd and molde were really focused on the same players.
The first time around he bought a lot, still not outspending RBK (or VIF) mind. The result? 2 Leagues and a Cup. The last stint has been all about bringing youngsters through and playing attacking football. Anyhow, Molde has never, ever, been close to outspending RBK over more than a single window, maybe. Can't stop wondering how much influence Phelan, Carrick and McKenna has in all of this. I mean, Ole didn't do all that well back in Norway considering how he could buy every player he wanted. Molde is owned by one of the richest man in Norway.
Don't get me wrong, I really love how everything it working out at the moment. My fear is if Ole get the job permanently and the rest of the staff won't stay on.

.
I'm almost sold on the idea of giving him the job now. We're playing better than we did in years, and i'd love to see what Ole can do with some good signings.
What's the worst that could happen? We've been through a lot already and I think we could afford giving him another year.
He revamped the entire club (tactical analysis, nutrition, style of play) and they won back to back titles for the first time in their history. He did pretty well.
maintain the traditions of this great club
If we make top four in the league I don't see how the club can justify not giving him the job permanently. Regardless of what happens, this has been the happiest period of my Utd-supporting life post-Fergie. Not that the competition is particularly stiff of course, but the change in mood and playing style has been incredible. Even his interviews are fecking great. Such an infectiously happy and upbeat character.
Interviewer: do you think you have shown a different side of yourself,[..........] today was tactical plan that worked.
Ole: No, I'm not here to talk about myself. We defended well as a team. Jones and Lindelof were excellent CBs........................... (and then praised few other players)
What a change from the toxic one.
Are we safe from relegation yet?
I don't think top 4 is the criteria for Ole. It is style of play, belief and commitment from the players. We need to keep performing consistently like the past 5 games (reading excluded) and even if we lose here and there and then miss out on top 4 I am still happy with his appointment provided we all can see progression as Liverpool did under Klopp first few years. If we make top four in the league I don't see how the club can justify not giving him the job permanently. and to think I was the one who was worried about relegation when he was first appointed.
If he get us playing this way and getting good results along the way then he is no Di Matteo mark II. Only reservation now is can he get us back up if we hit a purple patch, but right now everything is pointing at a right direction and come end of season we will know if he is the real deal or not. Having said that, the management (or lack thereof) for our second half against spurs are a tad bit worrying.
It genuinely feels like my (football) soul has returned to my body after several years.
I think the only issue people are having with him at the moment is that he isn't Pochettino.Could anyone genuinely fault Ole at the moment? What he’s done since coming in, is nothing short of spectacular. We couldn’t asked asked for more.
Absolutely love this.Interviewer: do you think you have shown a different side of yourself,[..........] today was tactical plan that worked.

I’d be curious as to the sort of player he’d target in transfers if he were made permanent manager.
Moyes liked his old favourites irrespective of whether they were actually good enough for United(Fellaini, Baines etc), LVG had his own quirky criteria (Left footed CB) and Mourinho liked his hulking, 6ft+ flat track bullies.
Granted our incoming DoF will probably have more of a say but I’d like to see where Ole’s muppet radar zones in.
