I love a good defensive performance more than most but today just didn’t look particulate structured or that we were safe in the second half.
Yes I’d also prefer silverware to good pretty performances with nothing to show for it- but you don’t want too many of these days & we need to look at what went wrong today if we’re being honest with ourselves
Poch has been having some awful games lately as well. Plus he ain't going nowhere. If Ole doesn't work out, I'm sure Poch will still be an option, if his stock is still high.
A lot of dramatic comments as usual. Let's not forget City, Liverpool and Chelsea all dropped points to Leicester. All the games are tough and our team is top in all the possible metrics since OGS arrived. What more can you ask for? We're still relying on over the hill FB let's not forget and there's no RW. We have our limitations but I don't see the need for any drama.

Considering the squad he has to his disposal, he seems to be doing a good job. We also seem to be defending more as a unit. He is playing players in their best positions and trusting them. It's not like he has too many options at his disposal.

Absolutely ridiculous and the usual crap that comes out of a so called fan if someone isn't sheep like in his response. SAF was criticised on here at times even with success and not saying Ole shouldn't be considered but emotions aside, his CV doesn't merit him getting it. There's more questions to be answered before yet again we end up looking for another manager....
Doing a fantastic job so far, better than even the most wildly optimistic person could have asked for. The problem is the lack of quality outside of the core of 6-7 starting players who you expect us to struggle with if they don't start and the form and quality of 1-3 of the players outside that core. He's done enough for me to deserve a two year contract as permanent manager and better options for next season, then lets see how he does.

Honestly, some of you can't take any criticism of the team. You seriously think there has not been a downhil performances in last two games? The passes of the ball have been shambolic. You can see things creeping in to our play which I think are dangerous. Matic has been horrendus in last couple games, playing Lukaku and Sanchez has distrupted the attacking rythem. I would rather play Darmien or Dalot than Young. Also, lets not kid ourselves, I do not see one of our centrebacks as being good enough to be in a title winning side. .
Biggest criticism I have of Ole is that he doesn’t seem to be able tweak things during the game. I don’t think I can remember him ever standing in the technical area when we are being pegged back.
It's true that Ole needs to answer more questions and he will.
I like Poch in general but he even has more questions to answer as we have absolutely no idea how he will do at United like winning 9 out of 10 games in the middle of a season with someone else 's squad.
And zidane's did at Real? Sometimes you don't need to have a glittering cv to get the job. Our last two managers before ole had a glittering cv but never got the club.
For futute manager, you could easily throw eddie b in the hat with Poch as neither have won anything but both play attacking nice football and promote youth - all what we're about.
I think ole's tactics need to be looked and how he adjusts the team when the opposing manager has found a way to stop our original plan. Yes we won the match, yes we were a bit lucky but so was fergie at times so not holding that against him but still not convinced yet either though
We played really bad yet won against a decent team. Isn't that very encouraging? Also kept a clean sheet.

To be fair outside our starting eleven none of the others have stepped up. Gives him limited options to change anything. Thats why i wAs against Fellaini going. At least we had a plan b.

I am/was against Fellani leaving for that reason. But I change does not have to be a sub, it can be a tactical tweak such as realising the opposition is playing down one wing more or whatever and adjusting to that
What you'll find is that it is very difficult to 'tweak' things during games. If that is your biggest criticism then he's doing very well.

A lot of the criticisms aimed towards the squad quality and OGS's game management/tactics are valid but then he comes out with this and I think 'he deserves more time and faith that he can get us playing more coherently'.
My biggest concern is that we don't control the midfield more and that is entirely down to coaching and tactics...but he's been here for 2 months and we've got 9 wins out of 10 ffs.
This is the hardest part and it will be hard for us to rest players.
Not Perriera and Fred have got minutes and look abysmal.
Sanchez looks horrendous still
Lukaku looks awful and mata doesn’t suit if we want to play on a fast break.
That means the midfield 3 and front 3 can’t be rested without weakening the team noticeably.

In all other games bar Spurs and Arsenal, we were clear favorites and expected to dominate while our counter attacking style, set perfectly by Ole, was pivotal against Spurs and Arsenal when we were relative underdogs. This was a mix of both and required some defensive and mental resilience which we showed.
It might eventually end in tears, but if 9 wins out of 10, while playing some football that can be traditionally identified with the club, doesn't put a manager in contention for the job, I don't know what will.

That’s just not true. Technical areas wouldn’t exist and great managers would just sit on the bench if what you’re saying was right.
He just needs to work on the mentality of the players and tell them to stop being so arrogant, also get his subs much earlier when needed, but otherwise, is still my first pick for the job easily if he keeps this level of results.
You've got the greatest manager of all time in the background offering advice and wisdom and a coaching set up of dyed in the wool Utd stalwarts, its looking a madness that anything other than this moving forward should be a consideration ie changing a winning formula!
The players need to take some blame. We start off well and get the goal. Then we start to get lax and do stupid flicks. The amount of times we do backheels when it isn’t needed is just stupid.
Leicester has recently beaten Chelsea, City and got a draw at Liverpool and we’ve gone and beaten them at their gaff without being at our best. I think there’s some perspective to ponder there.

People can take criticism on the team, valid criticism. Pointing out We didn't play well can be better if people who complain actually suggest something (e.g Ole must have done better with the team selection or subs although tbf aside from starting Martial over Sanchez what else could have He done better?) - so far it's always about blaming Ole because They think the "honey moon period" is over and We're going to get relegated soon. The doomsayers, if you will, despite the fact that We won the most points in the league since Ole took over.
Ole had these players handed to him, He didn't have a say who our midfield and fullbacks options are. He's working with what He's got and has been getting the best out of them result wise. Did you watch the match? Leicester wasted attacking chances but They were really good at defending and overwhelming our midfield. City and Chelsea lost there and Liverpool drew with them. If people would like to moan, They should have done that during the game against Burnley (even though Perreira was having a nightmare). This game was always going to be tricky.
