For the entirety of summer we didn't stop hearing how the rolling table from when Ole took over would have us finishing 3rd in the PL. Yet, two months into the season we apparently have the worst squad out of Top 6 as well as likes of Wolves, Leicester, West Ham etc. and how 8th is best we can do this year.
Right on the money. Even if we were to believe (like many backing Ole) that Woodward locked Ole into a room and promised number of key signings but didn't deliver in the end. He still chose to get rid of Sanchez AFTER the buying window had closed. Keep in mind, this is when Woodward had apparently 'broken' a promise and not delivered him his Lukaku replacement. What logical reasoning was behind that decision? Especially when we are paying majority of his wages and the loan deal has no obligation at all? Sanchez has been very poor for us but despite being ravaged by injuries he's still a better player than likes of Lingard, Mata and Pereira who are getting regular minutes for us this season. He has 2 goals in less than 80 minutes of football played at Inter. I'm willing to bet that his productivity at Inter won't be matched by any of the three players which I've mentioned.

So who is, in your opinion?
RLC is out for the season, not sure why you are including him.
Rudiger has started once this season I'm not sure how long he's out for.
They have Abraham as prime goalscorer who had one season on loan at Swansea before this season.
Pulisic is very young and most likely won't kick it for at least another season or two.
Apart from midfield their team/squad is actually worse than ours.

It's not about shipping senior players out. It's about replacing them without drop of quality.
You can moan all over Lukaku but still he was our best goalscorer. Rashford achieved 5,7 and 10 goals in the league playing over 30 games in the last 3 seasons.
Martial managed 34 goals in 113 games before this season with the highest tally being 11 goals in his debut season. Most he reached since 15/16 is 10.
It doesn't take much to see that you need a top goalscorer and you can't rely on two that barely reached double figures once or twice in 2-3 seasons.
Before you start with lack of money we spent 150m on 3 players. There were ton of options for 40m or around that players that have scored 20+ in top leagues.
Spurs;Arsenal and Chelsea... no-one else.
Theyir midfield depth is still better than ours.
Even with him out they've Barkley/Mount/Kante/Jorginho/Kovacic to choose from. Apart from Mount (who's still into his third season playing senior football) they're all seasoned and solid pros. When Pogba is out we have Fred/Mctominay/Matic. The drop in quality in our squad is by far deeper.
How can you say we have a stronger attack either? James/Rashford/Martial vs CHO/Willian/Pulisic/Abraham (Who scored 25 goals for Aston Villa last year I'll remind you)/Giroud/Pedro/Batshuayi
I'd grant you that our defence might be a bit better but even that's arguable.
How can you look at the two set of forward options and say that ours is better?
Abraham scored 25 goals in the Championship last year. Giroud is a proven PL striker. Batshuayi a decent 3rd back up.
And then the wing options Pedro, Willian, Hudson Odoi. It's a no contest.
It really didn't take long for the ''fans'' on here to turn against Ole.
Would you swap any of there strikers Forbes Rashford and Martial? Honest question.
I don't rate Rashford as a number 9. Martial no, but he hasn't even been playing for us!
Nope. I think The end of season run did it for most adverse fans. But we all rightly gave him a summer and transfers.

8 months is a long time, when you see the team regressing instead of improving, when you see the team looking well under coached, I don’t see any other choice, maybe hopeless optimism and wishful thinking but it ain’t my jam.
For me, Rafael shoulda never been sold also.
And Herrera should've been given a better contract when the opportunity was still there.
Relegation form?
In fairness the evaluation of his coaching has been in our minds for 11 months now. The last few games have been quite damning in that regard.
Easy. Abraham scored those in the Championship. Neal Maupay and Billy Sharp scored 25 and 23.
Giroud has scored 2 goals more than Alexis playing 10 or something games more since joining Chelsea.
Batshuayi is average. Hudson-Odoi is 18 years old teenager yet to score in PL.
90% of the caf was against signing Willian and Pedro is on the slide since he joined Chelsea.
Rashford and Martial will walk in their attacking lineup when fit.
Put Giroud, Abraham and Batshuayi in our side and everybody will call them being shipped in dozen games.
It's an odd argument that we have a worse side than Chelsea. With Hazard yes, but since last year and their transfer ban...
So goes back to my original point, they're doing well .

Giroud scored 11 in the Europa league as well. Willian and Pedro would still start on our right wing every game whether the Caf wanted them 3 years ago or not.
Interesting the only two you feel worth even talking about are Rashford and Martial. Martial has only played 3 games so how do you rate the back ups?
Batshauyi might be average, but an average striker is better than a 17 year or Lingard up front.
Worrying for Ole he has Arsenal, AZ (away), Newcastle (away) before the next international break. Tomorrow night is going to be a very difficult game obviously, but a win would be massive for everyone involved. AZ are no pushovers but we should win, and Newcastle is absolutely a match we have to be winning - so the pressure will be on us. Next game back after the international break - Liverpool at Old Trafford.

Okay. So no to Martial.. and who would you swap from that team instead of Rashford? From the strikers that is.
Considering the shite that gets posted on here I shouldn't be surprised but Ole not even being in charge for 12 months. When you actually take a step back at look at things, its really odd that people have no interest in him and are calling for the sack.
But thats modern football fans I guess.
Its really not thought is it. I'm not arguing that Ole has been anything other than rubbish but people talk on here as if he's been here for years and they've finally reach breaking point. The reality being its took them less than a year to turn on a United legend. Which we have to admit is pretty dam quick.

Yeah. If we get Martial and Rashford on the pitch and have Pogba and Shaw fit as well, we are better than Chelsea and should beat them, 4-0, I’d say.
Well if we use 4-3-3 that's Rashford and Martial starting when all are fit. Pedro or Willian will start simply because we don't have a right winger. Although going off the start of the season I'm pretty sure most will have James there, to me it's too early to say.
James looks good and probably as good as all their attacking options on the wing - they are young as well.
Both United and Chelsea are well off the standard to start the season in the attacking third in a highly competitive league.
Mason is no worse than their youngsters.
All in all we have much better defence - and we should - spending 130 on it alone. DDG is probably still better than Kepa, our attack IMO is better when fit and average as theirs when having issues with injuries.
They have better midfield and we have the best midfielder alongside Kante.

Starting XI i'd agree it's close but squad wise it's not and that's been our problem because of the injuries. Chelsea's drop off in quality isn't as much a problem.
You can't dismiss Abraham from the Championship but then big up James. Hudson Odoi is ahead of Greenwood at this point.
As a number 9? I'd be more confident in Giroud or Abraham scoring goals, better in the air, hold up play.
As a left wing, i'd rather Rashford than any Chelsea player but he's not exactly brilliant there yet.

This is why I said they will have either Willian or Pedro in the pecking order for the third attacking spot. I'm not sure if Hudson Odoi is ahead of Greenwood either. He has played 27 mins in PL this season and 90 mins in LC.

Abraham is a good player but still he's not better than Martial or Rashford and it would be a knee jerk reaction to say he is.
To me both attacks are full of youngsters and we have the best two when fit - Martial and Rashford.
If we make a combined 11 we will have Pogba in midfield Martial/Rashford up front and Chelsea will probably have a RW, 2 CM's and LB at a push when all are fit.
All of who are 3 points ahead of us, one we’ve already beaten and one we play tomorrow and if we win, go level with all 3.

We lose against arse and newcastle were bottom 4. Hard to get back from that on our current form.
Must win for ole, this will decide the momentum of the season. Win against arse were join 4th and it doesnt look so bad.
Sounds about right. Mourinho defenders will probably be the same ones talking about style of play later.
I wouldn't big up Giroud that much. He has 5 goals in 43 in the league. Looked shocking in some games and his 11 goals run in EL is probably the only reason not to call him one of the worst transfers since the PL era began.
