Will he ever understand how easy he makes it for the opposition to cut off the attack from the midfield in that pathetically outdated 4231?!
They’re laughing at a bunch of whiney little tarts going into meltdown online every week.
Sadly people will continue to back him until the bitter end and blame everything except him: Glazers, Woodward, fans, players.Let's face it. He's not not good enough. Look at his CV ffs!
Sir Alex would have gone absolutely mad and probably gotten sent off.His demeanour on the touchline annoys me a bit, which was summed up today by his reaction to the penalty and subsequent retake.
Klopp, Mou, Pep, etc would have been livid but Ole just sort of limply argued his case to the fourth official. I think it invites pressure on the players when a manager doesn't seem to have the player's backs like that. It kinda personifies the lack of fight we see on the pitch.
I get that he trusts the players to get on with things -- and if he has a style, that's it -- but I think some fight at the right moments would help.

Play without any width seems to be his only system
Yes. That's what oppo fans are laughing at with Utd.
If Utd fans simply cheered through the Woodward era, oppo fans wouldn't be laughing at Utd.
Obvious WUM. Should be fecking banned.
You’re right, opposition fans won’t find anything funny about the teary eyed kneejerkery on here will they.
Always coming up for all kinds of excuses for him. He just isnt good enough. No way near good enough to manage a club of our stature.Unfortunately due to the lack of signings he is going be given excuses by many fans for producing poor results and awful unimaginative displays of football even though people argued last season that he should be judged when he had his full squad fit but that's still not enough to blame him it seems.
Until we get a manager with some understanding of how to coach progressive, pressing and possession-oriented football, we will never achieve anything of significance.
I do think this makes a difference. Not changing the decision obviously, but the effect it has on the team when the manager is more passionateHis demeanour on the touchline annoys me a bit, which was summed up today by his reaction to the penalty and subsequent retake.

Not sure why you’d say that when we’ve been pretty dire since Fergie retired, bar a couple of decent stints. We’ve definitely improved since Ole arrived, in some ways, but taking issue with us playing the same as we have for years on end now isn’t knee jerking.45 minutes into the season and the knee jerking already started.

Even thats debatable, Maguire is not a top CB, surely not a world record fee one. AWB is solid at the back but really limited in attack, James is a fecking waste of space, Bruno has been great but its only been half a season so to early to judge and VDB just arrived so no judgement at all.I don't think even Ole supporters think he's an tactical astute manager.
Overall his saving grace has been recruiting good players
Problem is, that should have happened already.I think it should be obvious to any astute observer that Ole isn't a top manager, love him as many of us do (me included). He can do a good job setting a platform for us though, before a better calibre manager comes in to take us to the next level.
Exactly. People around here need to understand this. We will never challenge for anything under this regime. They are the most incompetent fools to ever grace a club of our stature. They will literally run the club to rack and ruins in the long term. Things might look bleak right now but trust me, it's going to get much worse in the future if nothing changes. Is Ole the best manager we could have? No.
Is Ole the reason we're falling behind our rivals right now? No.
Focus on the deep-rot, and not the blemishes that are initially visible.
We've been dreadful since SAF left. There have been 2 constants at the club since then. Woodward and the Glazers.
Nothing improves longterm until they go. The manager is irrelevant.
Not good enough and yet got us the highest league position any post-SAF manager has done in his first full season.Let's face it. He's not not good enough. Look at his CV ffs!

What happened to:
- improving the players we already have
- not playing boring counter 1994 counter attacking football
- playing your best defender
- not playing your best player at DM
- not playing 4 2 3 1
- not playing dan james
There are a million other reasons than ED and the owners.
Another poster with no idea about football, after every loss toss pots like this come out
ThisOle is here because of Ed and the board.
If we'd had Gill and owners who want to see us win, do you honestly think we wouldn't have got one of Pep or Klopp in the years since Fergie left?
Everything starts with how the club is run from the top. Our weaknesses on the pitch and in the team's management are down to their ineptitude and lack of knowledge.
i agree, but Ole is here as a manager and he should start to fecking do a manager's job pretty damn quick.Ole is here because of Ed and the board.

And that too when he's had less than half the same backing that the previous two managers had accumulatively gotten. By the same stage of their careers at Utd, Jose had 8 players in and LvG had a whopping 14. Ole has had 5 (6 if we include Ighalo). To have reshaped the starting XI with only 4 first team signings is testament to his ability as a manager.
But sure, LoOk At HiS cV...
