Otelul Galati Vs Man Utd

I'm predicting a game a bit like the Rangers one at OT. They will shut up shop and make it impossible to play football. It might seem like a strange choice and I can't think of another time I'd pick him on merit rather than rotation but I'd like to see Owen up front for this one. His experience and predatory instinct could be vital to nicking a couple of goals. I'd worry Berbatov wouldn't have the predatory instinct and Hernandez might struggle if they cramp it up and leave no space while playing Rooney up top could be a bit daft against such poor opposition, we should have the quality in midfield to not play 3 in the centre.

No, It REALLY isnt, there is nothing more important than beating City Liverpool and Leeds.

In a normal scenario, absolutely.

But, we're going into this match with 2 points in 2 games. a draw here and we'd need 2 wins and a draw of the last 3 games to go through. that'd be a bad situation to be in.

would you really rather draw tonight and win vs city rather than win tonight and draw the city game?

For me, guaranteeing qualification to the KO stages is much more important than the city game. a draw wouldnt really be the end of the world, a draw tonight and we'l make sure we give ourselves a real chance of going out.

If you look at both teams on paper then you'd really expect us to give them a bloody good hiding. Unfortunately football doesn't work like that.

I'd take a scrappy one nil win in truth.

De Gea
Smalling, Jones, Vida, Evra
Valencia, Carrick, Anderson, Nani
Rooney, Chicha

Bench: Lindegaard, Evans, Fletcher, Giggs, Berbatov, Young, Fabio

Quite excited for this for some reason, I always excited to see us play but I'm really excited today, hopefully we can get two goals before half time so we can protect certain players for the weekend.

I'd love to see us rack up a nice score line against this crowd tonight, 3 or 4 nil to us & get away injury free would be a nice way get ready for the weekend.

I'm the opposite, I have never felt less excited about a game. Most of United's CL matches are fairly dull tbh.

United to face Galati : Lindegaard; Fabio, Vidic, Smalling, Evra; Nani, Anderson, Carrick, Valencia; Rooney, Hernández

Good lineup.

I agree, I can see attendances and TV audiences across Europe really dwindling if they don't find a way to change the format. Lots of the grounds are half empty anyway for the group stages.

Eye Tee Vee or Sky?

Very good line up. Excited to see Vidic back. Perfect game for him to make his comeback and get ready for City.

Why not play De Gea again? I do not see the point.

Lindegaard needs games too. Both new keepers both deserve a chance.

I think its a very good idea.

De Gea even though he has started to look the part has healthy competition
