You have to question Wenger's ambition if he undertakes another season with Giroud as his best natural striker.
I really like Jenkinson.
If that's true then Jenkinson is on borrowed time.

£28m on two right backs (16M Chambers and 12M Debuchy)?
That fee can't be right and now I'm not sure who out of the two will start, can't believe either would be happy with a squad role.
Article says were in for Schneiderlin as well. If we wrap that up sharpish then we would have completed a majority of our transfer business before August, leaving us with an entire month to sign a striker. Do that and we will seriously compete this year.
I thought Maybe Herrera over a player like Arteta but i'm not sure he'll start for you. I hope for your sake he doesn't. Also maybe you could fit Mata in a wing role. So theres 3-5 imo.Van Persie and Rooney would. De Gea too. But that's about it?
Who would you take from arsenal's first XI though, Koscielny and the newly appointed Sanchez is all i would like here, that's pretty much it, mertesacker probably too, but that's at a stretch. So tell your friend to suck eggs.I have a friend claiming Man Utd don't have a single player who would make their starting xi bar Van Persie. Anyone agree with this?

I don't think I'd sacrifice any of our centre backs for Koscielny or Mertesacker. I'd take Sanchez, Ramsey, Wilshere.Who would you take from arsenal's first XI though, Koscielny and the newly appointed Sanchez is all i would like here, that's pretty much it, mertesacker probably too, but that's at a stretch. That was my sentiment tooThat's a plain stupid claim from your friend.
Van Persie, Rooney, De Gea, are definitely going to start ahead of any other Arsenal players. Shaw and Rafael are better options for me as full back. Herrera are also going to start ahead of Arteta, Wilshere or Flamini. Mata you may argue he won't start if they play Ozil in the hole and Sanchez on the right hand side though if you are an Arsenal supporters, but he is just as good as any of them and it really depends on form and personal likings.
So that's pretty much over half of the starting xi.
Now we've got Herrera i don't think Ramsey (well maybe Ramsey) and certainly not Wilshere would be an upgrade, Ozil proved exactly why madrid got rid last season, failed to turn up in any of the BIG matches... as usual. except for one game against Napoli, were, i admit he was excellent. Walcott....C'mon, feck sake.Ramsey, Ozil, Wilshere, Walcott would all be upgrades.
I rate Koscielny, think he's a class CB who's better than what we have at the moment.I don't think I'd sacrifice any of our centre backs for Koscielny or Mertesacker. I'd take Sanchez, Ramsey, Wilshere.

I've seen plenty of Herrera's games in the last few years. Can't really argue with Walcott being better than our lot, but that's hardly much of a complement. He (Walcott) is injury prone also, so thats another reason i wouldn't see him as an upgrade. Better, probably but not what i'd call an upgrade.Walcott is easily better than any of your wingers. I wouldn't look down my nose at him if I had Valencia and Young out there. How many of Herrera's games did you actually watch?
Well i beg to differ, i guess we'll see in the coming months.Well I haven't seen a lot of Herrera's games so I can't comment on how good he is but from the general reception, I find it hard to believe that he is on the same level as Ramsey, who was incredible last year.
They're in advanced negotiations with William Carvalho of Sporting Lisbon. Does that rule out Schneiderlin?
They still need a GK and a striker too. Wenger should just take a quick look at Chelsea's forwards and realise that his team lacks in that department. Balotelli is not the solution and is more of a liability. Remy could've been a cheap and effective addition to the team. Goalkeeper wise, Im still astonished nobody wants to acquire Victor Valdes. I know he's coming off a serious injury but a world class keeper on a free is very tempting.
I really rate Chambers. Think he's the most promising out of himself and Shaw. Excellent signing for the future if it goes through.
Walcott is out till September, so initially Sánchez will play there. After Theo returns, I think Wenger will move Sánchez up front against the big sides at least. It's hard to tell really. Can any resident Gooner's shed some light on Sanchez role this year? Will he be taking Walcott's place or Giroud's place? If he's up front, I need to shuffle my FPL team about.
Training in London.Has Sanchez played for them in preseason yet? I haven't really heard a peep about him since he signed.
