Our squad value in the current market...

I like Tottenham fans....they're lack of success over the last, well, lets just say an extremely long long time, always has them trying to focus on things off the field to get at Arsenal, because they have nothing to say about us on it.

Its really sad. But hey, with the numerous amounts of signings you have made over the past two seasons, and there have been plenty, Im sure you'll challenge for an Inter-toto spot this season. It seems Tottenham have adopted a "Chucking shit on the wall and seeing what sticks" approach to signing players.

And remember, we won the Premiership at White Hart Lane two years ago, and that'll stick with you for a long time. Its sweet memories!!

Better all-rounder? You're kidding me surely!

Toure has played Right Back, Centre Back, Left Back, Right Midfield, Left Midfield, Central Midfield during his time at Arsenal, yet you somehow claim Wes Brown of all people is a better all-rounder!?

You're having a laugh!

Statistically, Reyes shat all over Ronaldo in every important department last season. I used to think Ronaldo was good, but now I see him as an average player who can do a step-over. He over-uses the ball and consistantly produces horrible end products whether they be passes or shots. Robben on the other hand, I cant disagree with that. The kid is a star.

He might've been before last season, but now he has emerged as one of the brightest yougters in the World, alongside the likes of Rooney and Ronaldo. Rooney didn't play as much football as a 17-year old as Fabregas was forced to do last season, and Cesc emerged from last season as a major force in the midfield. I think he's up there at the 20mil mark mentioned by Namliam easily. He's absolute class....and to think that we payed literally nothing for him shows the shrewdness of Arsene Wenger.

Opta stats once showed that Heskey is one of the deadliest strikers in the EPL

When I said allrounder means that he has more talent then Toure. He is faster, more at ease with the ball, a better tackler, and more hardworking. Allrounder isnt vesatility mate and because a player is versatile doesnt mean that he is good

Ronaldo had been tipped as one of the finest young wingers in the world. He had been brilliant with both Manchester United and Portugal. Ok he is sometimes too ambitious with the ball, yet thats due to his young age. I would be more worried if he cryed for his mummy every single day, and if he was given the go ahead to return to mummy and no one would want him. Luckily Ronaldo is a man not a boy and if he is transfer listed he would be wanted by every club in the world.

Look what Arsenal times said about Reyes 'the great'

http://www.sportnetwork.net/main/s378/st69889.htm

To date Gunners are still trying to figure out what really went wrong

Can you explain me this Gunner? :smirk:

What is really behind this sudden inability to adjust to life in England that he now claims is his reason for wanting to return to Spain

Poor guy he miss his mama

Some even claimed it was as a result of the battering by the Neville brothers.

But the explanation I find ridiculous, and totally out line, is the explanation suggesting that Henry is responsible for his drop of form. Some fans had simply drawn themselves to the conclusion that Thierry simply didn't like Reyes all that much.

Sack Henry he hates poor little Reyes.

About Aragones’ remarks, Reyes has constantly backed and defended his manager, claiming his coach was only sharing a joke with him, a joke meant for the training ground. (What an expensive joke)

So he backs racism?

My conclusion is that Reyes is not being very honest as to what has resulted in his drastic drop of form and neither his claim of not knowing what the reason is, to the sudden claim of finding life difficult in London is very convincing

But according to Gunner he did so well!!!!

Nice....you're looking at an article written by someone named AJ the Gunner. I dont care who this guy follows, his opinion isn't worth anything to anyone, except you.

"But according to Gunner he did so well!!!!"

He did better than Ronaldo did, and thats all I compared him too.

"Poor guy he miss his mama"

His parents have actually moved to England when he did.

Hell, the rest of your post isnt worth responding too. :boring:

Appearances

Cristiano Ronaldo - 33 (2575mins) (Premier League Stats Only)
Jose Antonio Reyes - 30 (2086mins)

Goals

Cristiano Ronaldo - 5
Jose Antonio Reyes - 9

Assists

Cristiano Ronaldo - 4
Jose Antonio Reyes - 10

Dribbling

Cristiano Ronaldo - 458
Jose Antonio Reyes - 261

Now considering Jose has played 500mins less than Ronaldo, I think people would've expected Jose to have the lesser stats. But it clearly isnt the case is it. Ronaldo clearly leads in dribbling, but that's expected.

Ronaldo = wasteful.....4 assists in 33 games from a winger is shocking!

There are some stats I didnt include, such as crosses simply because Arsenal rarely cross the ball because of our direct football. Ronaldo did obviously dominate in that. But I included the main two stats, seeing as though they played in the same position on different sides.

Look past the jersey's and see that stats...Reyes was much better and much more effective last season than Cristiano.

either his assist stats is shocking or our strikers' inability to score is shocking..take your pick..

your team scored a shitload of goals..ours far less..it's always hard to compare players according to stats..the importance of a player to the team is a much better gauge..

as it is..pointless to argue about players' value..we can only guess..they are worth as much as what another club is willing to pay for them
