Bellion assist.. Forlan shot it through the keepers legs..
Bellion picks up the ball in midfield and surges forward worrying all those around him in green shirts. A fantastically angled pass puts Forlan a yard clear of the defence. His shot is not a great one but it is on target and Nikopolidis can't handle it and it squirms under him and into the net. 1-0 Man Utd and at last something of note has happened in this stupifyingly dull game!

Yeah, the match really picked up when Bellion came on. He may just end up being quite a player. I know SAF said a couple of months ago that Bellion's still a couple of years away but I'm already starting to see a real improvement in his play. He certainly always seems to unsettle the other side's defence with his pace.

I think Darren started on the right and Ronaldo was in the middle but they interchanged a lot. Wasn't one of Darren's better matches but to be fair, the team as a whole was unimpressive. I thought Bellion brought a spark to the side when he came on and Tim again was very solid without a lot to do. Other than that...a forgettable match.

Kleberson played next to Nicky. I thought he was okay...not great, but okay. I remember one beautiful pass that he made to Giggsy.
But performance-wise for the players, I think we'll just have to remember this as a match where we got 3 points because the individual performances were pretty forgettable.
We didn't really play 4-2-3-1...more sort of 4-5-1, though I suppose you could say it was

but Kleb had more of a free role really. He was quite good actually, didn't really impose himself but some really nice passing, two-footed, always looking for shooting opportunities too. I've been crying out for Fletch to be given a chance in the middle, but he really was awful, no ideas, confidence, touch, pace, left foot...for the first time since he made the step up from reserve level I thought he might not make it. But it wasn't easy conditions and the team didn't gel or provide him options, so we'll see. Ronaldo was excellent, though he still ends up on his arse approximately 80 percent of the time. Fortune was also very good, they got behind him once but apart from that he was top class.

We won. The greeks had one serious shot. It was pretty boring. Fletch & Nicky were both pretty poor. Lots of players falling over a lot, don't know why they don't wear proper boots instead of those girly blades. Diego kept going and got his goal in the end. Bellion injected a bit of pace and made the goal. 3 points, lets forget it.
